4) I believe there is a God for the underlying fact is that there is no way that all the things in the universe just appeared over time or in one big Bang, I believe that God who created the mind can get in contact with it and he has done so in the past; no matter how much the Bible may not be WORD FOR WORD EXACTLY RIGHT to mans pitiful efforts and continues to do speak today in His Written Word. Come on He can make the universe but He cannot write a book. I am not the judge of who he picks and chooses why nor am I saying that He talks to me in the form of voices but I have seen the wisdom of the Bible and follow it. I also cannot imagine that mankind is going to get out of this mess with the ecology, economy, terrorist and the other insurmountable problems facing mankind today. I see the prophecies being fulfilled, I for my part will serve this God who many don't think exists or has a problem with due to Witnesses destroying their faith. I do not judge you nor do I criticize you, it is a Poll, you gave your opinion and now I am going to give mine.

My wish is that when our time is done or when judgement day comes, that all of us can find peace and enjoyment as our Creator desires and will one day fulfill. To all my fellow posters, I only wish the best for all of us, no matter who is right and who is wrong. I know that I have been wrong more times in life than right, but this is where my heart and mind is at.

You may have hung yourself when you called him "brother". They like to scritinize and then fight about words. As far as your question you posed

When I was an elder, this question came up in one of our meetings with the CO2, he said that if a brother was out for over six months of inactivity that there was no need to hunt them down and DF them, even if they were doing wrong, it would be handled when they came back and a judicial committee could be arranged then. OH by the way this was for a very prominent and rich family member of the congr who was living with another woman and commiting adultry and getting drunk regularly and it was very very well known. SOOOOO nothing is done, he later comes back and of course; by his coming back is evidence of his sorrow.

Others including myself were out for longer periods of time with no activity but did not get the same treatment. I guess this was a private teaching endorsed by the CO2, so much for speaking in agreement according to 1 Cor ch 1.

It will all depend on the winds of change blowing at this time, it will depend on the light at the time. I wish someone would give them some new Duracells and have the unchanging light that will be bright enough for all to see. Wish you the best

i decided to take the advice of some of you here when i wrote about my situation.. i am married, but my wife is a die hard witness.

despite me showing her mountains of evidence and her actually accepting it, she is regressing back into jw think.. this has happened since i stopped mentioning anything anti-jw.. now she thinks that my problems with jw's were just a phase because i am not bringing up the issue anymore.. i really want to leave this religion, but i can't do that without losing her.. many here i know are trapped and some are still serving as elders.

i don't know how you do it, but i guess routine is routine.

Wow truthseeker, some really good advise here and much to think about. I went through what you are going through, mine ended in divorce, she left with Society approval after 20 years of marriage, just more proof to me that this whole thing is a bunch of trash and man made. However in looking at your dilemna when it comes to trying to unbrainwash people, you cant change people no matter how hard you try, I believe Ron White said it best "You can'f fix stupid" but more importantly when it comes to you; it all comes down to honesty and courage. Go look in the mirror and stare at yourself and be completely honest with yourself not anyone else but you and God.
