How often do you when LIKE talking to soneone use the word

so i'm sitting there and flipping through the morning's newspaper, then it hit me that i can't focus on reading because my brain was subconsciously picking some noise, a repeating sound of something.

What are you havin' to drink?
by exwitless inok, so i'm a boring person who stays at home on weekends and don't go out much.
maybe not so much boring but tired, and i'm a 33 year old wife and mom who doesn't need (or want) to be out galavantin' around town on saturday night.
so...back to the subject in question: i'm probably going to stick to my favorite: crushed ice in a tumbler, a glug of absolut vodka, some cranberry juice, topped off with a splash of orange juice.

Bay Rum always smells like Christmas to me. My favorite drink is a real martini, with a couple of gin-soaked olives. It's the gin I like. I only have it a couple of times a year, getting wimpy in my old age.

reading all your posts, I realize what a boring person I am! I like most home improvement shows, and a few cooking shows like Michael Chiarello and Ina Garten, and Nigella Lawson. I like South Park and the Simpsons. And, oh yes, Dancing with the Stars. I used to like American Idol, but it is rather boring this year. I have a friend who calls Sanjaya Malakar "rack of lamb" and she votes for him because of the "vote for the worst" website.

my sister and her husband did a similar thing with my nephew when he was about 13 years old. They bought him an old Ford pickup and told him when it worked he could drive it. So he spent his time working on the truck, learning how to do car repair, working part time for money for parts. He never got in trouble, and when he was old enough to drive he had this fabulous restored cherry red Ford pickup of which he was very proud.

Why do dubs act as if 1975 wasn't failed prophesy or misleading?
by NotaNess infrom the evidence i have found, it was all but etched in stone.
so why try and defend the wts by saying "they never stated armageddon would be in 1975", as one witness tried to throw back at me.. seems that you could show them all the evidence in the world of this false organization, and it will repel right off them.
is there some sort of "force field" kool-aid they're serving at the halls?.

It was over 30 years ago and I bet a lot of modern JWs weren't even born then. To them it's ancient history and doesn't matter. I remember how shocked I was once when I mentioned John F. Kennedy and a teenager who was present said "who was he? Oh yeah, he was a president or something." To me the assassination of JFK was a defining moment, something one would never forget, and to this kid it was ancient history and not very significant.

grammer and spelling

it reminded me of a couple of things that really bug me.. "momentarily" as in "thank you for holding.

Recipes For Dubs

i am trying to find some good recipes for making various stuffed vegetables with garlic.
can anyone give me a few good ideas?

You can stuff pretty much any vegetable you can shape into a bowl. For instance, those giant zucchinis friends give you. Cut in half the long way, scoop out the center, sprinkle lightly with salt and put cut side down on a towel to draw out some of the moisture. Stuff with the same thing you put in stuffed bell peppers and cook the same way.
A different stuffing is to make a bread stuffing (like Thanksgiving turkey stuffing) and use it instead of the tomato-rice-ground beef mixture. Saute some onions and garlic and every kind of vegetable you have in the house, diced, until tender. Add stuffing mix (I'm lazy, OK?) and some chicken broth and stuff into your favorite vegetable receptacle and then bake.
For a salad type dinner, make a brown rice salad, or a bean salad, or tabouli, and stuff in raw vegetable boats like bell peppers, or tomatoes that you scoop out and drain, or zucchini boats, or potato skins, or or or...
loads of recipes on the internet. Sometimes I like to just google the ingredients I have in the frig, along with the word "recipe" and see what turns up.
