The future of this site
by DanTheMan ini just took a look at h2o, which of course was the pioneering internet jw discussion board.
at one time, it was the place.
then this site came along, and nowadays people on h2o are debating whether there is any point in the continued existence of that site:.

What part of the bible is most disturbing to you?
by crownboy infor me, it's actually the book of job, which happens to be one of my favourite books.
the way job steadfastly maintains his innocence, and questions god, as well as rebuffs the three comforters (who proffer arguments along the lines of mordern apologist, although in this book they are "bad guys" ) made him my hero of sorts throughout most of the book.
if most people today questioned god the way he did, they would probably be condemned for it.

A few months ago, I decided to read the Bible without the aid of the WT.
Well, there's yer problem. Don't you know that you can't understand the Bible without the faithful and discreet slave breathing down your back, telling you what such-and-such means?

Hi, Ambush, and welcome to the board. I'm still relatively new here myself. But I know that I speak for all when I say feel free to post your feelings, opinions, and thoughts. (You can find a lot if you search the archives.) WELCOME, says I! Others: I command you to follow suit!

I too am a hater. I'm a very shy person from the get-go. But having to preach about that nonsense ... geez, no wonder no one ever listened to me. I sounded like a lunatic! "Resistance is futile." No, it's not! "Resistance is ... not futile?" That's right, Hugh. Now go turn in your time.

I'm sorry, but this reviewer is a freakin moron!!!
Actually, if you look above that paragraph, you'll see that this is a "
Book Description submitted by the publisher SafeHaven," not a review. Just a claification.

Paradise Earth A Very Selfish Idea
by larc innow according to the witnesses, people will live for ever in a paradise earth.
i think that most of you knew that already.
now, this is a really selfish idea.
-
Ephanyminitas
The idea of a paradise Earth is full of paradoxes and contradictions that you simply "trust in Jehovah" to work out. You are right about limiting life. Of course -- new light?! -- Jehovah could open the heavens to us. Perhaps, despite science's protests, faster-than-light travel is possible and we'll find several nice M-class planets to roost on.
