From what I have heard from some friends who went through Gilead, they cover the same material that COs and DOs cover.
Thus they cover some really deep stuff. (read "a bunch of WTS Bull")
My friends said that it is a very fast paced class and you have to actually pass.
there is a test, he said that if you don't pass you dont go anywhere (except home).

HOW PERCEPTIVE ARE YOU?
by minimus inpeople make the world go round.
there are a number of very sharp people on this board.
when we interact with one another, we learn what makes us tick.most that are here are either out or on their way out of "the truth".through experience, we understand the pros and cons of life.

I am very perceptive.
However, I am also very naive. I believed that everyone was doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing. -

The governing body is "The Christ"
by candidlynuts ini keep reading small bits here and there where people mention the " follow the christ" convention states the governing body is now " the christ".
can anyone clarify this or know which talk it is , have audio or video?
any more information of any kind would be appreciated..

During our DC I never heard them explicitly say that the GB was the christ.
But I was up doing many different assignments, so it could have been slipped in there. -

You and an elder ONE on ONE, who would win ?
by JH inlets say, you would be alone with an elder in a room, and you wouldn't be allowed to come out of that room until both agree that either the watchtower is wrong or they are right.. who would win the discussion, you or the elder?.
you would be allowed to bring a bible and their literature to prove what you want to say..

I would say that it would depend upon the elder.
if it is the any elder from my last cong - it would be a draw. None of them are open to any agreeing except what is already in their minds.
If it is an elder from my new cong - I would win. The elders are none too bright in my hall. I have stumped them with minor questions about trivial things. -

Teleportation - It exists! Where will you go ?
by Crumpet inteleportation has been invented and proven to work and be safe.
no leaving of limbs in one town while you go to another.
what is more the governments are cracking down on vehicle travel to help slow down climate change.

Sorry Crumpet, I didn't mean to bring gravity to the topic.
I thought we were having a logical discussion, not a theoretical one.
Let me try again:
I would probably teleport to Russia, as I have always wanted to go there.
I would then follow it up by teleporting to Bill Gates house and slap him in the face (once for every blue screen of death I have ever gotten). Probably he wont survive through that many slaps.
Then I would teleport to my favorite water park: Schlitterbahn! -

Unfortunately yes.
I have always thought of myself as level headed and a rule follower.
However, these people boil my blood! This person ruined my prospects of:
1.) A chance at going to bethel
2.) A friendship progress into possibly marriage (with sister in another hall)
3.) Remaining an MS and possibly becoming an elder (in my former hall, possibly my new one)
4.) having a good relationship with my mother
I have tried before to end the hatred for him, but he will accept no blame for any of the damage he has done in my life. That being said, it is obvious that he will not apologize either.
Another brother in the same hall thinks of himself, his wife, and his son as the greatest people to walk on earth since Jesus. Somehow no one can do anything better. Even though his son has gone through 3 courtships (it might be more, I lost track when I left that cong) back to back. Each time the sister leaves him and says the same thing - self absorbed. Also he lost the title of being MS when he broke the law by doing criminal speeding (again 3 times, must be for emphasis).
I was an MS for 4.5 years, never gave a Bible highlights, Speech quality, #1 talk, public talk / symposium. When he got re-appointed, BAM! One month later, he gives his first #1 talk. Two months go by, he gives his first symposium. Thankfully I had left by then, otherwise I would have been like WTF?!! It must be nice having a dad who is an elder, you can get away with murder, and get on the fast track to power.
Just one more, there was an anointed brother in my old hall.
He was nice, a little stuck up, but over all a decent brother.
Then when I didn't listen to his counsel (I will eventually post my story with details), all hell broke loose.
He called me up and yelled at me for a good 10-15 minutes. He called me names that make me grit my teeth even now.
So those are the ones whom I would have dead. They do nothing to benefit the congregation, yet they are treated like gods. I once considered throwing away my life to rid the world of them. but then I realized that there would just come more like them, and my life would have been in vain. -

If someone told you they would give you $10 M,,,,,, if you,,,,,,
by AK - Jeff injust closed your eyes, threw a dart at the world map, and would have to take the 10 million, get on a plane within the hour, move to that location, and never look back, contact your friends or relatives again.
no rule changes.
you can take your mate and/or minor children, but can tell no one else.

I was only an MS. I have always been a 'rules' man.
if there was direction from the WTBS, I followed it.
I was frustrated with those who did not, and who made excuses.
I look back now and know that it was foolish.
I try harder to be more accepting and forgiving. -

Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?
by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.
what about the thousands that don't get caught?

Yes, I knew of a young girl (she was never baptised).
Her dad got remarried, the sister he married was a close friend of mine.
He was not overly active with the congregation, but he was used for sound, TMS, and demos.
The young girl was always hanging off of me. (this is nothing unusual - I will have to explain later when I give my bio).
However, she was always trying to get me alone with her. I avoided this to keep myself free from accusation.
As it turned out, the dad was forcing her to have sex with him. He had said that he would kill her if she told.
His wife walked in on them one day. The government stepped in, he went to jail, and the girl went into foster care.
He was DF'd.
I have always wondered if she would have told me what was going on, if I had gone off alone with her.
I have never seen her again.
