Share a favourite website . . . .
by nicolaou inwww.pandora.com i've mentioned this one before but for music lovers it's fantastic.
you don't download music, you just listen to it.
you can create as many "stations" as you want and you can even refine them.

Did You Like Your Congregation?
by minimus inthe hall i was in the last few years was not a bad place.
most of the people were middle class, some had college educations (like the po and his wife); they generally weren't over critical.
of course there were a few elders and publishers that were pains but for the most part the people in that hall were pretty decent.

I liked my old congregation very much. It was considered a "golden congregation".
No other cong in the Circuit/District/State compared with ours.
However, as time rolled around, I found that the elders were overbearing, the other MS were stuck-up, and in general people were nosy.
So at the end of my time there, I disliked the hall. -

The first one looks like a logo for the Regional Building Commitee in Florida, apparently section 8.
The Safety first logo that goes with it looks a lot like the ones I see floating around the Qbuilds here.
the Safety Dept wears them and tries to make sure everyone is doing things safely. -

The back-room club...
by gymbob ini recently got a e-mail from a 1/2-in-the-truth witness youth who referred to the "back-room" club...anybody ever heard of this before?
is this a new witness youth expression?.
she's 15, and i think she was referring to being asked by the elders to come back in the back room at the hall after the meeting for counsel.

never heard of it being the "back room club" but there was a few in my old hall that could have joined.
they were always talking with the elders.
ours would have been called "the boiler room club" because that was the favorite spot of the elders to chat. -

Bad biblical names for a child
by erandir inthe practice of choosing biblical names for children is present in many forms of christianity.
in latin america, countless boys are named jesus either as a first name or second name.
there is even that singer jesus jones.

From what I have heard from some friends who went through Gilead, they cover the same material that COs and DOs cover.
Thus they cover some really deep stuff. (read "a bunch of WTS Bull")
My friends said that it is a very fast paced class and you have to actually pass.
there is a test, he said that if you don't pass you dont go anywhere (except home). -

HOW PERCEPTIVE ARE YOU?
by minimus inpeople make the world go round.
there are a number of very sharp people on this board.
when we interact with one another, we learn what makes us tick.most that are here are either out or on their way out of "the truth".through experience, we understand the pros and cons of life.

I am very perceptive.
However, I am also very naive. I believed that everyone was doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing. -

The governing body is "The Christ"
by candidlynuts ini keep reading small bits here and there where people mention the " follow the christ" convention states the governing body is now " the christ".
can anyone clarify this or know which talk it is , have audio or video?
any more information of any kind would be appreciated..

During our DC I never heard them explicitly say that the GB was the christ.
But I was up doing many different assignments, so it could have been slipped in there. -

You and an elder ONE on ONE, who would win ?
by JH inlets say, you would be alone with an elder in a room, and you wouldn't be allowed to come out of that room until both agree that either the watchtower is wrong or they are right.. who would win the discussion, you or the elder?.
you would be allowed to bring a bible and their literature to prove what you want to say..
-

I would say that it would depend upon the elder.
if it is the any elder from my last cong - it would be a draw. None of them are open to any agreeing except what is already in their minds.
If it is an elder from my new cong - I would win. The elders are none too bright in my hall. I have stumped them with minor questions about trivial things. -

Teleportation - It exists! Where will you go ?
by Crumpet inteleportation has been invented and proven to work and be safe.
no leaving of limbs in one town while you go to another.
what is more the governments are cracking down on vehicle travel to help slow down climate change.

Sorry Crumpet, I didn't mean to bring gravity to the topic.
I thought we were having a logical discussion, not a theoretical one.
Let me try again:
I would probably teleport to Russia, as I have always wanted to go there.
I would then follow it up by teleporting to Bill Gates house and slap him in the face (once for every blue screen of death I have ever gotten). Probably he wont survive through that many slaps.
Then I would teleport to my favorite water park: Schlitterbahn!
