  To be more explicite : when things collapse on several stages/floors there is a point of saturation which slow down the process ... even if the weight is still pushing it down (in knowing that most parts are falling around - more over if its blown away)

  That's why in a demolition work they need to " blow "most floors to get a fine result (a straight and right down falling result).

  Why would it slow down? For every floor that collapsed, the weight on lower floors increased as did the acceleration of the falling parts due to gravity. Thus what we see is a very rapid collapse, exactly what we would expect to see if we understood a little about gravity and structural engineering.

  You forget the steal in between every floor too (not only on the side) ... NO ? and melting like collapsing is not blowing ... IS IT ?

  Such is the danger of arguing from ignorance.

  pancake effect that caused both buildings to collapse rapidly

  Why Am I not convince by this ? Because the process should have slow down little by little while going down - instead of keeping a quiet constante and yeah very high speed from the top to the bottom blowing and spreading the steal and everything inside in little peaces.

  while meditating -- in a definitely non-transcendental way -- over the recent "meditation" threads, the following idea came to my mind:.

  meditation as often advocated here rightly questions the hierarchical dualities generated by mental activity, such as (or, perhaps, all boiling down to) "good vs. bad" -- hierarchical inasmuch as -- would you have guessed?

  -- one is supposed to be better, more valuable than the other; one is definitely to be pursued and the other shunned.

  Yeah ... That's why laws do not help (question of perspective nor contexte - nothing is all black or white) that's why I found the Gospel very interesting (even when some things looks wrong from our perspective today we still have to remember that if anything looks like a law to apply it just can't be the absolute right law depending on context which have something to do with the periode of time and civilisation and mentality evolution).

  So when it is said that God's wisdom = Christ 1 Corinthien 1:21 (WHAT) 1 Corinthien 2 :7 (WHO) gets the law out of the way for us to really think in taking love/charity/mercy into considertion first and over all ... it make sense spiritually talking.

  ?Please explain Evolution to me in simple terms

  i dont want a complicated version; just a very simple explanation on the theory of evolution, and if possible, in your own words.

  many of us are very ignorant on this subject and it seems that a few here are very knowledgeable so i hope you can help me and others also.. also if you believe in the theory of common descent, could you explain that to me also?

  Evolution is a normal process what is still a myth/theory (not a proof) is to state that we are the product of what at the begining was a fish

  When it had to be a cell which evolved (whatever time it took) created/assisted or not by a super being (but what kind of supa being for sure ?) The myth/theory continu in saying that the fish at end became a monkey why not a swin (since we have more in common genetically with it) to finally become a human being ...

  It's all about that ... and since they chose the monkey (just because it looks more like us instead of the swin which have more in common genetically) it looks like since there is no real answer it's easier even for a scientist to clame that the monkey is our ancestor.

  Why not ? but not a proof ... why ? because no link founded when we should have found them already (and those mentionned not compatible genetically) So ...

  Since it's one version against an other - one saying that something specific and new happened (whith no proof about the why) and the other one comparing what is comparable about why and how a building do collapse "if" it does BTW all the way down from top to bottom) Does that mean that EVERYTHING related to "that day and tragic event" (before meanwhile and after) makes sens to you ?

  it's seems that you don't either ... So where are we going ? What is it all about : one have it all good and it's the gov ... I wonder if you really took into consideration everyhing here ... but lets skip WTC1 and 2 ... So what happened to WTC 7 ? hum ... tell me ? what happened to its structure ?

  The creation account versus evolution, is as pointless as the cross vs stake controversy, regarding to the question of GOD
  
  Believers as not believers can be spiritual enough to realize that evolution takes place in every matter and ways (materialy / spychologically)

  But when evolution doesn't mean, better than yesterday. Maturity is supposed to take yesterday's experience in consideration.

  No proof = no proof
  Do we really need to know ?
  is this most important thing ?

  To me the priority is elswere and I guess it have more to do with respect than improvable truth.

  The evolution therory is not a proof (no link when we should have them) and the creation account is an image (well ... at this point anybody can just make a choice) it wouldn't exclude God anywa (but again it all depends on how we see/imagine God) then of course this can be what will make the difference in the choice.
