When I don't know how to get or do what I need or want. for instance : Not knowing where I've put my keys when I have to leave the house NOW for an appointment / being handicaped like with this lumbago which stuck me for almost a day / forgetting a very important information, I know it's there but it doesn't come out / ... things like that ...
Missunderstandings which lead to very complicated situations that everybody have to deal with (whoever is concern or even not concerned - and might never know what it is all about) and hypocrisy (which doesn't lead anywhere) - Those do no really drives me nuts but it's so much bulshit for nothing if not troubles or blur situations.

whereas witnesses, when they experience hard times, stop going to meetings?
of course, my wife and i want to leave the witnesses, and i don't want to offend anyone in the process.

I don't know what you should do (you know what you want ... and will get there in a way or an other ... they are not you, they have made their own choice to believe and to be faithfull to this organisation it doesn't have to be a burden for you, it doesn't allow them to mind your business, since you have the right to make your own choices) but I'm happy for you that both you and your wife agree (it'll ease the whole process).

HELP!
by bendineen inmy name is ben and i attend a high school in australia.
in my english literature class i sit next to a jw pole girl whom i have some grave concerns for, and the reason i am posting this thread is to see if someone can give me a reasonable explanation for her and her parents attitudes before i intervene.
the situation is this - this girl is failing her final year of high-school because her parents force her to distribute jw leaflets and do other such activities instead of doing homework, she also vocally refuses to vote (which is compulsory in australia) and criticizes australians for not accepting her family as one - even though they insist they are not.

Do you have biblical knowledges?
because it won't be easy ... even with that knowledge to get a chance to prove how wrong the JW doctrine biblically.Also they have a very specific language (quiet powerfull with the way they are endoctrinated) - so you will have to cross that barriere too. not from your will but hers.
I leave it for others to give you some ideas ... I just don't know from where to start -

i shied away from this site at first for what now seems some rather silly reasons; as if there were things here i didn't need to know, lol.
but i did and do enjoy the scope of topics here, the intelligence, cameraderie and diverse opinions of the posters here.
