Thanks Trevor,
I have my idea on why people do not understand me sometimes (many reasons possible anyway I'm not in there head and they are not in mine). That's why I don't put that much weight on it emotionnaly ...
Since I've reach the conclusion that in life we have to agree to desagree, even to give up at some point when it doesn't lead anywhere further ... it is still always fun, however it is handle, to give my opinion. And I like opposition as much as agreement, it's good ... we need to challenge our views. Sometimes I'm waiting for the argument which will have an impact on my view ... it happens ... and it leads me farest (on the subject or some other subjects regarding to "what", "how" and "WHY" things are expressed). it's all learning from others about others and also myself ...

Science vs. Religion - Must We Choose Between Them?
by bavman ini dare to say science and religion are two different animals.
they may try to explain similar things but in different ways.
i don't believe man will ever live without either religion or science nor would i want us too.

Did You Ever Do This?
by Outaservice init seemed that running my business and all the meetings at the hall, plus my social life was taking a toll on my time.
there was a brother at the hall, that was married, and a very good public speaker (used to be a radio announcer) .
anyhow, he was always short on cash and was agreeable to my offer as follows............... if i was assigned to give a talk out of town at a neighboring congregation, i would pay him to take the talk for me as a substitute (at the time $25.00) and then i would stay home that day.. i gave him $10 for an instruction talk, $10 for a service meeting part, and $5 for anything else such as reading the watchtower sundays or a bible reading, etc.. it was a 'win, win' situation for both of us.. outaservice (now out of money).

Show me the money
by onacruse inmany accusations are made, freely and (imho) frivolously tossed about, regarding the monetary motivations for various and sundry wts policy/publication decisions.
i have myself made many such statements.. however, if i was pressed to provide evidence for any of these accusations, i would be embarrassingly empty-handed.. interpolations, insinuations, circumstantial evidence, et.
al., aside: what irrefutable evidence is there that the wts has ever made a change simply and solely because of financial considerations?.

We should not have to ask about how much money it makes ... 'cause they should provide all informations (what about the legacies for instance ?) All about What they got and what they did with it like most of organisations who knows that people can and have the right to wonder and to know about it (whith : annual financial reports)

Anyway take spirituality away and we would just be robots (same needs / same behaviors). Spirituality is what makes one more or less funny, cool and so on ... it is also about diversity and we need that too.
I don't only like the good sides of people, their faillures (weakness and strenght cause it can be a faillure too) are a part of what make them human. And I for instance would have respect for my enemy if he/she is the way I like it (good and bad sides) means at least not hypocrite (but how do we know if someone is hyprocrite or didn't get what he needed to get yet?... like most of JW's).

In the end, what will really matter?
by exwitless inin light of the current deep philosophical discussions whirling around, i thought i would post another topic to ponder.
hillary step motivated me to start this topic by this comment on another thread:.
if there is anything that i have learned in my 500 years of life, is that none of it matters much anyway.. we all end up in some dismal cemetry with drunken kids urinating on our tombstones anyway.

At the end finally I just hope I'll be ok to say goodbye without leaving a bad feeling to those I loved (have the time to say sorry if I've hurted you, If I have any idea about what(*), so at least they will have acknolegde that I do regret if so - for them to feel better about it) everything else is just what makes the everyday life good enough to enjoy my life with or without others. and since there is a time for everything it would just nice to enjoy everything I can not more, not less.
(*)That's why I don't like missunderstanding ... (but it happens). It's terrible because I feel somehow out of the box, and I have to make a real effort to understand other when most of the time others just think I'm weird ... I can live with that but that's probably one reason I need to stay by myself most of the time (being with others ask me a lot of concentration/thinking - automatically I wonder about lots of things and more I wonder, more I'm thinking - sometimes its just too much).
A Web forum is perfect for me : I get in when I want share whatever I can and I get out when I want ... -

Myers Briggs Personality Indicator

Prolog2 : The problem with self-report tests is that although they indicate how certain traits cluster in large groups there is no way to be
sure that the individual person in front of you is a certain type based on his own answers to a battery of questions. That is why a
science of personality will only be standing on solid ground when there is some objective/physical measurement that establishes
personality. In addition you will need a strong theory that establishes a connection between the physical measurements and the
indications of a questionnaire. That's the problem in fact, therefore those tests are quiet limited to offer a real answer, and that's why probably many people may not have the same result from one test to another (they may have changed their mind about them - or change their ways to be more effective in what they need to be at the moment). Anyway I guess it would be hard to get a real answer for anyone. Who really know us? I have an Idea about ow I do fonction, but I guess the one who could answer or confirme some specific questions more accuratly would be my son (I'm not even sure). I wonder if I take the same type of test in a year or two if it will still be the same? Lets see in a year or 2 (it would at least tell me that something have change in my way I think I do fonction).

Religious belief stick on the idea of an afterlife and therefore makes us wonder what it is exactly. but even when it comes to the soul nothing is very clear about the how ... it's only about being satisfied (paradise) or not (hell) or simply dead
Now if our essence is a part of an whole we have different situations possible : each onces essence with it's own spirit (dead or alive) those are the 3 I can think about by now
- if with essential even with no total and personal memory or at least a fondamental spiritual state : it's a soul
- if essence with its spirit without essential memory but dedicated to become something else involving its spirit : it's some kind spirited essence as material left to interact or not with an other or several spirited essence materials or not (with a spirit = swich on = alive / without a spirit = swich off = dead but maby still usefull by essence).
- if with memory but separated in different matérial nor essences : it is still about soul by spirit but just separated by essence in a sharing systeme
Now the question is what is important in every case = to like to share (many ways are possible in our future even as dust) cause it is (to me) how essence works as a whole (it's a sharing evolving systeme)
Now many people have experienced very specific things (sorcery, different kind of ghosts*, prémonitory dreams ... well lots of things wich could have something to do with good spirited and bad spirited essence. Something strong that we have no idea what it is all about but percetible in some ways and circumptances. What can we say? It's all false (since I've experienced sorcery and not only alone as a witness on the whole history concerned) I have to say that, from that you just can't go back to say it's all fake or imagination that would be a denial.
We have differents state in our human life but even what we are composed with had another life (somehow) anyway (as material or anything).
