i just got off the telephone with scott boer, vicki boer's husband and before that vicki.
her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.

I was only able to get down to attend one day of the original case last year, but I followed it daily in the papers (due in no small part to your efforts), and found what I could on TV news. I was there just after Vicki's lawyer had lost a JW camp motion to exclude his expert witnesses. Due to some filing omission on his part.
It seems to have gone downhill from there.

UPS = Uninterruptable Power Supply. I'm no techie, but I couldn't bear to let you hang.
They're basically a power conditioner (deluxe surge protector) with some big rechargable batteries to give you time to shut things down properly in case of a brown-out or black-out.
Good ones in my area go for about a hundred fifty dollars and you can pick them up anywhere that sells computers and computer accessories.

and when satan decided to tempt jesus he took him to a high place and he could see all the kingdoms of the earth...... now unless jesus and satan could see around corners...how do you explain this?

God was not so much worried about the height of the Tower as he was concerned about it as an accomplishment done by humans without Him.
The all-powerful and all-knowing God (unless he purposely chooses to remain clueless, according to qua) was worried that the first coherent centralized administration might become so successful that it needed to be struck down because it might have achieved some great things.
Read about it in your own Bible at Gen 11:5-7,
"And Jehovah proceeded to go down to see the city and the tower that the sons on men had built.
After that Jehovah said: "Look! They are one people and there is one language for them all, and this is what they start to do. Why, now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be unattainable to them.
Come now! Let us go down there and *obscenity deleted* it all up with a big stick!"
And with that order to His troops, Jehovah creates factions among the human race, with the stated intent of making sure that we will NOT be able to achieve all that once was attainable for us.

He CAN know everything anytime but like humans who don't want to spoil the fun on things equally has the ability to choose not to.

I agree with avishai (sp?) and others here, the H1 had a seriously innovative drive-train that got the axles up over the tops of the wheel hubs. Ground clearance was unmatched by any previous system. As a military vehicle, or if you really, really needed that kind of clearance for recreating or business transport in the backwoods or deserts, it was, and is the vehicle. Granted, most H1s sold to consumers have never dealt with anything more challenging than potholes and streetcar tracks.
The H2 is just a standard chromed out SUV that looks like its big brother. A poseur's vehicle.
At the other end of the consumer scale are a bunch of guys I met in B.C. They all run older Toyota Landcruisers, tricked out to the enth degree. They are take-no-prisoners mountain backroad enthusiasts. If they need to sideswipe a large boulder to pivot their machines up and out of a narrow wash-out, then that is what they'll do, thousands in parts and hundreds of hours of work will be sacrificed to clear the gully. Making it to the top of the mountain was all that mattered.
At least a third of the components on any one of their trucks were fabricated in their own shops, copied from original parts and then beefed up.
I doubt that any one of them would be caught dead in an H2.

I have no opinion on the writings themselves. The Bible has got some good bits mixed in with the crap as others on this thread have said better than I.
I judge the book based on the actions and agendas of those who follow it.
Disappointment hardly describes it.

i ask because i'm taking my 19 y/o son to a concert he's doing in sydney, australia.. i'm not going to the concert, i'll be spending time with friends shopping and dining out.
but i was just wondering what my son can expect from a mm concert.

It was theatre then, it is theatre now. Where Alice wore leather and french lace, Marilyn wears rubber and feather boas. The kids know its a great big show, and the biggest damper you could put on it is your expressed approval.
The kids are alright. Let them rock.

i have framed some odd things in my career.
i didn't mind framing a penthouse spread.
i did mind framing a "slave bat".
I cannot think of one place where I've seen art as nude kids... this seems strange.
The photography of David Hamilton has been disputed as art or pornography publicly, privately, in the boardrooms of art galleries and by their benefactors, by booksellers large and small, and in the courtroom both by complainants against and as an example of anti-child pornography laws gone too far.
Personally, I'd like it if the courts would consider the worst possible case of exploitation of this material, the way a predator would use it, and weigh that against the damage caused to anyone by the absence of this particular material.
