Who knew...?
by exwitless ini was just curious-did any of you on this forum know each other while you were both still active j-dubs?
i mean as friends or acquaintences that you only knew as jws, not family members.
were you in the same congregation together?

Not I. I've talked to only two of the posters here on the phone and none face to face. I'm actually afraid of horns.

Letter to the Org
by sandy ini'm writing a letter to the org and i'm wondering what will happen if i send it.
i make no mention of the dates of the events that took place back in 1999. i just wrote that i am in active and stubled.
i also accuse the local elders and org of handling the situation wrong.

Who knows us best? Spouses? Adult children? Friends?
by Paisley ini'm wondering about this lately.
i've always assumed that spouses know us better than anyone else.
but when i really think about that statement, what i personally mean is wives know their husbands better than anyone else knows them; but not necessarily the reverse.. i've also felt that our adult children know us pretty well, especially same-gender children.

Seriously - it's as much us and who we decide to let in as it is the other person/other. Some folks set out vibes that encourage it and then their actions after confirm or not that it was a good idea to open up.

Sounds like a subjective conclusion, but it must be true in many cases.
Whoever knows us best is who we choose to let out guard down to the most completely - which usually means whoever we feel safe with.
For me that would my dog.
