How the hell can they baptize a 10 year old? Those dubs are nuts, you can't legally enter into a contract until you are 18. How a book publishing company hold someone to a contract entered into a age 10?

personally, i would like to have the choice to end my life if i chose to do so and see nothing wrong with having a professional help me with it.

i have watched several people die and to me it's just plain cruel to put someone through that.

we would never think of letting an animal suffer like that but yet some people in this country think they need to jail a person willing to help speed up the process.

people who speak non-tonal languages are more likely to have a more recently evolve form of the genes aspm and microcephalin.. this raises an interesting idea.. possibly no non-tonal languages were spoken at the time of the towers of babel.. how would a jw explain?.

doesn't jehovah deserve to be lauded for his loving kindness?

jehovah deserves to be praised for the intense love he feels for us all, even while in the womb.

his word, the bible, tells us that before he formed each and every one of us in the womb, he knew us.

The fact is that most pregnancies, do not make to to full term. Why do so many religions, oppose, both contraception and abortion? What is the big deal about another 1% or 2%? I just don't get it. Wait, I get it, babies are the best way of adding new members. The sooner you start the brainwashing the more likely it is to stick. It is not about killing babies, it is about adding more members.

Do You Think The GOVERNMENT Should Require You To Wear A Seatbelt?

in new hampshire, the council that has power to make laws happen, voted against the mandatory seat belt law.

it appears that seat belt use will remain voluntary.

do you believe the government should require such laws??

In an ideal world, I would say NO.

In the world that I live in, definitely YES.

If you are involved in at accident and someone in the other car is injured or killed, even if it is not your fault, you or your insurance could have to pay for their injuries.

Ever heard of deep pockets? Someone else could be 90% and you 10%, to blame for an accident and if they have no or not enough insurance, you get to pay.

Many people have only the minimum insurance the law requires, many more have none, (I remember someone here on JWD advocating only having minimum). In California that is $15,000 for one person. $30,000 for more than one person. $5,000 for property damage, if someone is injured it could easily cost 20 times that, if they die 70 to 150 times that or more.

When the law says "Anyone that doesn't wear a seatbelt doesn't get a dime or medical treatment paid by someone other than themselves" then and only then would I give them the freedom to choose.
