Is there a JWD mindset?
by beginnersmind innot sure if this is the correct place to post this but i thought it would be better in here out of the choices.
the title was to hopefully make you at least be interested in this post whereas the politically correct non generalised question might be "is there a mindset of some on jwd?.
a while back i was browsing the forums and 2 posts stood out.

reasoning
by BR25 ini read most of the posts on here and i was just trying to get an understanding on certain topics.
i read some peoples material and why they dont believe in the jw faith.
i understand that some people left the jw faith and some people on here may never have been jws or believed in it, so i understand why you post and give info back and forth, but i have trouble understanding some of the disfellowshipped ones on here.

NEED HELP: What's wrong with CURRENT Borg policy on molestation?
by Open mind inok, first off, please don't shoot the messenger here.
the dateline show on jws hiding pedophiles was one of several "defining moments" in my process of questioning "the truth".
it disgusted me.

Jesus gave the Sign
by Doug Mason inwhen jesus answered his disciples question about the sign of the temples destruction, they coupled it with the end of the age (aeon) because the end of the temple would clearly indicate that the jewish age had come to its end.
likewise, the disciples believed that this momentous event the destruction of the temple would herald the appearance of messiah in power.
they did not recognize that, instead of coming as a mighty conquering warrior, the messiah had arrived as a babe.

A completely different view of DFing from the scriptures and Greek
by avidbiblereader in'" (nrsv) "when they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples," (niv) clearly, being satisfied or having eaten all that one desired could not be said of eating a small fragment of an unleavened loaf.
the common view is that this means they had finished eating the meal and the pieces of the one loaf.
1 corinthians 5: 3 3 even though i am not with you in person, i am with you in the spirit.
