i've had suspicions all along that something like this might be happening... but only just not confirmed that she's been cheating on me... with another jw that she works with!
she could have been more discreet about it rather than leave all the text messages on her phone.

Sorry you have to go through this. Unfortunately this is how most JW's live - Holier than thou with a double life.
A cheating mate is a very hard thing to get over, if you do infact ever get over it. If she cannot so the simpliest thing, leave the job and never see him again, I don't think you can trust her to be faithfull.
Cry your tears, dust yourself off and move on. Be careful about jumping into another relationship to quickly!!

just wondering, i was trying to figure out where the conventions were in the upper northwest of the usa and how far the montana, idaho, dakota witnesses have to travel?
it was fun to get away for a weekend when i was a teen, but now as an adult, i would rather go have fun in a cool city.
for me: first couple of years, drive 2:15 hours to the convention city-------------------------- next 5 years.
Not bad for me either, to the kitchen for a glass of wine then back to the couch to watch movies

i had a sandwich at subway today and my seat was near the door.
one of the patrons left with his buddy and i could hardly believe my eyes.
i'm no prude but it turned me off to see the belt line of his jean shorts down to the middle of his thighs.
You guys may or may not find this amusing:
As you know I have 3 sons 24, 19 and 17 - I had a rule in my house if I can see the waist band of your underwear you need on a belt. Well, I had to go to school one day to drop off the middle son's lunch money, middle school. I had my 7 year old neice with me, we walked in the door and who do I see but my then 13 year old with his pants around his mid thigh.
I pulled the pink ribbon out of my nieces hair (she though it was the funniest thing), made him come to me, put the pink ribbon into his belt loops and tied it in a bow. I told all his teachers that they were to call me immediately if they saw him without the pink ribbon. He was mortified. He and his younger brother both wear belts and I never see the waste band of their underwear in public.
Now they are grown except for the 17 year old, and they basically can do and wear what they want, but I've never seen their underwear in public since then. Lesson learned? I don't know, but one thing for sure is they know mom doesn't play that S***.

i've found this board to be of great help & support because our son is currently being brainwashed into the cult by his wife and kh members.

I'm so sorry your son is mixed up in the cult. As another poster stated, she cannot scripturally divorce him without proof (2 witness rule, or confession) of Adultery.
She can nag him into joining, and I'm sure no-one from the kingdumb hall is telling him that she can't divorce him just because he does not join so maybe you should bring this up.
If they are following the rules - she would be encouraged to stay with her husband. He is her "head" after and she should be in subjection to him!!!

as many of you know, i've mentally left the organization but i'm still actively involved, even with positions of responsibility.
i wanted to do a successful quiet fade out of the org but at the same time i don't want any involvement with it.
i would love to send a da letter right now but some things had been holding me back.
Doesn't sound like you have too much to loose, except your dad. Do what you feel is right. If leaving gives you peace of mind then do it! If staying and playing the fade game won't be burdensome to you then do that.
I personally would never be able to sit in a kingdumb hall and listen to that crap ever, to smile in those who only conditionally love me or are only my friends conditionally would drive me nuts.
But you gotta handle this situation in whatever way you feel is best for you, we all are different. Just start doing things that make you happy!!

what are some of the things that you miss about not being a jw any more ?
for myself i'd have to say it was the close relationships with the people there, some i don't miss at all, but some i really do miss, like the kids that i grew up with .
during my childhood.
There is nothing about JW that I miss, absoultly nothing, zero, nada....nothing

i have a teenage daughter and she is very lazy.
we have to get on her constantly to get her room clean, when asked about her progress, her answer is always"i am working on it".
then when we check, it is usually worse than the day before.

My kids, well two of them anyway, were so involved with sports that when they were too old to play for little league and middleschool, they started helping the little league coaches out. They didn't get paid for it but it taught them responsiblity and accountability. When the little kids didn't do what they were supposed to do and were made to do extra sit ups or laps, my kids would have this look on their faces that said, why didn't you just do it right the first time?, doesn't make sense why they won't listen. (imagine that)
My 17 year old works in a clothing store, he came home the other day complaining about how his co-workers won't pick up and straighten out racks and tables, and leave trash all over the place. I looked at him a smiled, he said what? Oh, I know it sounds like what you used to say to us about our room. I gotcha ma!!!
So, what sounds like nagging now, will come back to haunt them later!!
