I set myself on fire!!!

i was wearing a cotton bathrobe this weekend and went to the gas stove to adjust the coffee pot.

suddenly there was a burst of flame on top part of my sleeve.

tore the bathrobe off, threw it to the floor, and stomped it out, although the fire caught on another part of the bathrobe and i had to keep stomping.

Sheesh! I'm glad you are ok. My biggest fear is that I'll get severly burned and have to go through burn treatment I told my husband that if I am ever burned to just let me die!

my parent's are both jws, i am still active and still believe i have the truth.

i consider myself a moral person.

Good grief I'm glad it's the weekend. Maybe i'll miss all the drama and by Monday morning it will all be gone again!

"BAD"- Sneak into a movie theatre or watch two movies on one ticket - Don't consider this BAD, I did it when I was a teenager. I wouldn't do it now because I'm more mature and the thought would not even enter my mind.

Shoplift small items you can easily afford. - No because I have too much to loose over something so petty. Again as you mature and get older this would not even enter most adults minds.

Go watch a naked woman dance. What's so bad about that?

Smoke a joint - Have done that and will probably do it again before I die. I hope like hell I don't get caught by the police because I could loose my nursing license. So I definately won't be riding around in the car or standing outside while smoking a joint.

Not report thousands of dollars in income to the IRS - Again I don't want to go to jail and I don't have that kind of money anyway.

Speed more, I speed every day, when I get caught I pay the ticket.

Watch a dirty movie - Again not bad, personal choice. I do with the hubby and it's geat for keeping the sex life fun.

Flirt seriously with someone you are not married to and it could get dangerous - No because If my husband did that to me I'd be very upset. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Hang out with lots of DF'd people when you are not. DF'd people? Come on Oompa seriously?

so, i just had another run-in with the moms.

totally unrelated to the truth, but we just disagree on so many things, and instead of being respectful and agreeing to disagree, i got the standard, "something is wrong with your thinking and you're going to have a hard time of it if you don't change.

" or, in other words, start to believe what she believes.

As an adult it's hard to be respectful when someone is disrespecting you. You are an adult and as someone else has already stated you have to set boundaries and stick to them. Just because your mother gave you life does not mean she has to right to impose her thoughts and way of life and thinking on you and that you have to take it.

So set your boundaries and say no when you need to, I've had to do just that with my crazy JW mom. I'm not a child and if you disrespect me then all bets are off. You have to give it to get it in my book.

Weird Family Storys

ok mymom's grandfather had 3 sons wyman jr, richard,and david my grandfather.i just heard a story about wyman jr that grossed me out big time.wyman jr had a daughter carol who had a half brother denny.denny and carol grew up together.carol didn't know her father.when carol was about 18 or 19 her brother denny got married.they had lived together all there lives.carols mother was dead and she had no one else to live with.so carol went to california and met her father wyman jr for the first time.she moved in with him and his second wife.carol got pregnant by her father wyman jr.. now my father told me that carol also knocked up by her own half brother/son.. her excuse for getting knocked up by her own father was that she never knew him so she didn't have a father daughter relationship with him.. my mothers family was from west virgina..

Noni we all have crazy family stories, crazy family members. I could tell you some stories that I still don't believe myself! I just told my oldest brother (non-dub) that sometimes I wonder if I'm the crazy one
