  The Official What happened at the Memorial thread

  i thought rather than everyone start their own topic relating their experience of attending the memorial, we keep it simple and have just one thread.

  if anything, it's saves bandwidth.. i will be going to the memorial tonight and will post my experiences afterwards.. all the other memorials i attended, i was an active jw, so this will be my first experience as a submarine witness.

  it's weird being on the other side so to speak.

  I haven't been to a memorial in over 26 years. Sounds like the same 'ol clap trap as usual.

  I had a wonderfull steak dinner with several glasses of wine and it had nothing to do with jesus, god or religion

  Finally moved out and HAPPY!!

  i have been away from the board awhile because i have been finding a new place for me and my two youngest kids to go, and found a wonderful 3/3 townhome in a nice neighborhood, close to their schools and our work...and we moved in last week.

  its like a pall has been lifted!

  its so wonderfully peaceful and comfy here and my kids have relaxed.

  this is a note i got from an old 'friend' when i contacted her on facebook.

  she was one of my closest jw 'friends' who shunned me, yet would greet me if she saw me in town or at an event.

  Naughty Things Our Kids Have Done

  anything your kids have done that were way naughty or could have gotten you in trouble with the ehhhl-duhrz..... once my littlest one when he was about 4 or 5 years old asked his mom for a bowl of cereal.

  so, she sends his older brother to go downstairs and make them both some cereal.

  so the bigger one is an real ass and decides it's time to lord it over his baby brother.

  I never had a "book" study. But I did study the Bible with people

  Blondie, I really tried at one time to read the bible but it never held my interest. I have no idea why but every time I just couldn't get through it. It made no sense to me, it was not interesting and I love to read. So I gave up and I will never try again.

  Nope, but I hated every JW thing in my life so I didn't expect Jehoover to like me Then my brain developed and I realized that Jehoover didn't exist and it was all BS anyway.

  More like embarrassed (I don't think I spelled that right, but i'm tired). Anyway it was torture for me and I hated every second. You have no idea how many asthma attacks I faked to get out of meetings and fs . Oh and I've never had a bible study I'm proud to say.

  It's Been A While

  hi folks, yep haven't been here awhile, a lot of stuff has happened: lost the house, packed up and took what we could and drove to california.

  and before that all happened my computor crashed and i couldn't tell the board what was going on (newsflash: i truely hate the ipod/iphone app for the board - sorry simon).. so we're here in cali, in roseville.

  i don't have a job but i'm looking.
