  last wednesday night.

  get this though, a df "brother" called the house today looking for me, he told my mom that he wanted to talk to me about something he heard last week, she told him i'm at work today and he wanted my work number which my mother refused to give to him.

  i wonder what the heck he wants.

  funny though, the only time i really think about the good old days is when i come here.

  when i meet other exjws, quite often they seem consumed by their present situation.

  sometimes i like to go out, have a couple of drinks and enjoy the food.

  It's funny that you started this thread, I spoke with my mother last night and she was saying that things are so hard for her and dad financially, they didn't think they would still be in this old system of things and they wouldn't have to worry about finances.

  They are well into their 70's and have zero savings, my dad is working at walmart and mom babysits for JW's, it's really sad that at their age they still have to work and struggle. And their health is really bad neither of them should be working or taking care of anyones children!! They had 7 children, I watched my parents work so hard when we were growing up and they have nothing to show for it. At age 70 they are still paying for a house that should have been paid off by now!!!

  But she's still waiting on Jah - he's gonna fix everything!!!

  Mother's Day

  i just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all our jwd mother's a happy mother's day.. many of us have children that do not speak with or associate with us, some have lost their children in custody battles only to have limited access to them, some have lost their children in death, you are still a mother and no one can change that experience.

  "happy mother's day".

  those of us who have children with health, mental or physical disabilities may have lots of challenges but we love them unconditionally, none the less.

  Many of us are lucky enough to still have our children in our lives and have the opportunity to shower them with love and bring them up to be healthy, well adjusted, grounded and loving individuals. "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"

  Some of us have mothers that will not speak to or associate with us, or they are a challenge to even be around because of an organization, but again we love them none-the-less.

  So no matter what catagory you fall into, Mother's are special - only a mother can relate to the joys of feeling a fetus kicking, rolling or tap dancing in your belly , Only a mother can relate to most horrible pain imaginable, and 1 second after giving birth will say "I'd do it all again"!!

  So, have a wonderful Mother's Day to all

  i sent out wedding invitations last week.

  apparently they caused my parents to get a divorce.

  i got an e-mail from my mother saying that she left my dad, is filing for divorce, and that dad thinks she left because she wants to go to my wedding and he won't let her.

  i mean, 50+ folks gathered in dallas this past weekend, and two long-time posters from jwd even got married there to boot... and no one has posted a single picture anywhere (that i can tell).

  c'mon, people... remember that not all of us could go!

  could someone either paste the link to the picture thread here... or post pictures in this thread?

  Husband forgot our anniversary....again

  i'm wide awake at 2 a.m., with my mind ruminating on stuff i should leave alone.

  i wish i could turn it off in the night, when worries spin out of control.

  let me list my concerns: this was my 26th wedding anniversary, and my husband forgot it apparently.

  Please talk to your husband and tell him how you feel, men don't know how to read between the lines, so we have to tell them what we want, how we want it and when we want things.

  Maybe he needs to hear how you feel to be able to make changes. Please give your marriage 100% before giving up. Also, the "true love" maybe it feels like true love because your marraige is not where you want it to be, sometimes the grass only looks greener.

  Unless your hubby is abusive, I say try to talk to him, see if he's willing to make changes!!
