my oldest daughter is a handful.
she has a mouth that just doesn't seem to stop and today we got into it .....again.. well, after a bunch of crap coming out of her mouth, i smacked her on the arm and told her to quit the talking to me that way.. then, it got worse when she kicked me.
geez, how would you have dealt with this kind of thing.. i told her i'm going to send her to a camp this summer where they put her on a giant kite (parasailing) and make her fly off a cliff.

My children have never hit, kicked, or spoken to me in a disrespectfull way (except a couple of weeks ago, my oldest is 24), And because he spoke to me that way I refuse to take his calls right now!!!
There is no way in H*** I would allow my child to talk back to me, or physically abuse me!! At any age. You have to put a stop to that kind of behavior. I have a 19 and 17 year old (male) at home right now, and if they ever tried to lay their hand or foot on me, I would not hesitate to beat the crap out of them!

i was in line today at mcdonald's with intention of buying only the 69-cent diet soda and i thought about what the little girl taking the order would think - made me laugh to think about someone else's opinion of my cheap purchases.
then i remembered all the following that i used to believe because i was brought up in the org.:.
jehovah and the angels and jesus are always watching everything you do satan and the demons are always watching everything you do the world is always watching everything you do (everything had to be a "witness" for jehovah) the congregation is always watching everything you do (wouldn't want to "stumble" anyone)and they are all waiting for the least little error so they can pounce and condemn you to eternal destruction.. it's a wonder we aren't all completely crazy and paranoid..

Maybe you should start doing things because you want to and not to get back at Jehovah or anyone/thing else. Until you do, nothing may fully make you happy. Go out and meet some nice women, wine and dine her, let her wine and dine you, do some fun things, like concerts, movies, shows, stroll in the park, hold hands, snuggle while watching a movie take some trips to the islands or Europe or whatever, do somthing to make YOUR heart smile.
It seems like this organization hurt you deeply in some way, but you gotta start letting it go. Don't do things to hurt this invisible fairytale god and his (supposed) organization. Anything you choose to do, do it for yourself.

ok, other than my father, i don't miss anything about being a dub at all.
seriously, i love my life right now, its great, thinking for myself, doing what i want, etc., etc.. i've only been out 3 months, officially, and i find no "void" or anything.
i've got a bunch of great friends on the outside, that i had for years while being jw, and then i have my mother and all her family supporting me.
I don't think it's weird at all!! Congrats.
The whole mind game about "where else will you go" is BS, do you really need someone telling what to do, think, feel, say about every aspect of your life? Please!!!
I guess some people just need the security blanket of a religion, GOD, the bible or any type of leadership to feel whole.
They can have it, I'm just fine on my own!!

One time my mom took us to the pet store and we ended up with a bird, don't rember the name. All I remember is once we got it home, he started talking!!! We were shocked, owner didn't tell us he could talk.
When dad walked in the room the bird said, "hey blackie, were ya goin?" , squak and tilted his head to the side!!! (my dad is dark skinned) Needless to say the bird went back to the store immediately!!!

did your parents spank you growing up?
Their is a difference in spanking and abuse.
My siblings and I were beat!!!! sometimes to the point of bleeding!!! My brother once was beat because he forgot to stir the "beans" and they burned, he had open bleeding sore on his back from that one. My legs were always bruised from pinches at the kingdumb hall for falling asleep, or not paying attention!
My children were spanked, when needed and I did not have to spank for everything or anything. Example: when my oldest son was 1 1/2 he thought it was cute to slap me in the face, I told him no and he laughed. He did it again and I swatted him on his thigh and said no, do not hit mommy! in a firm tone. He stopped!
I don't remember any of my children needing a spanking after say age 2-3, neither did I have to endure a child that threw temper tantrums, talked back, hit, punched, kick or spit at me or any adult!
I could go out in public without fear that my child would embarrass me, or would I have to leave because of their misbehavior.
