this came up in discussion between me and a fellow ex-dub buddy of mine.. as jw's, we had a brotherly unity.....at least many of us did.
if we were going somewhere and needed a witness to watch our place....even stay at our place, we had no reserves about being ripped off by them.
they were closer than some families members oftentimes and we even preferred being around them as opposed to "wordly" family members.
I'm not a jdub and I have friends that watch my house when I go out of town, have kept my kids, watched my dog, have taken care of me when I was sick (surgery), cooked meals, picked up kids, washed clothes, cleaned house and I've done the same for them....Hell I'd trust them with my life and they will still be my friend even if we don't have the same religion.
That's better than the dubs to me.

if the girl is baptized already really into it, is there any way she could build a relationship with me?
do i even have a chance to develop something with her or is it just a castle made of sand?
She will spend the rest of your life trying to convert you, and if you don't she will see you in a different light. The love won't be the same after she figures out that you want no part in the JW way of life.
This is not just a religion it's a lifestyle. If you are not ready for that or can't handle that, I suggest you count your losses and move on. Find a nice woman a that will respect you for who you are.

hello folks.
mr. flipper here.
my two daughters, both jw's are 20 and 19 and the oldest got married last april, the youngest in may.
Mr. Flipper,
Nothing wrong with a little nudging. Parenting is something that is life long, we never stop and there is nothing wrong with letting her know she is lacking in manners.

if you are a christian, how to you feel about crosses now?.
if you are an athiest, would you wear one?.
I have one that my girlfriend gave me as a birthday present. It's beautiful piece of jewlery and the chain it's on is also beautiful.
That's all it is to me is a piece of jewelry. No other meaning what so ever.

today i had a chat on msn messenger with about the only friend that i still have in the organization.
they don't know that i'm not a witness anymore.
this conversation just goes to show how witnesses are completely incapable of having a conversation.
They just shut down when it's something they can't explain or don't want to! Amazing
