Bad biblical names for a child
by erandir inthe practice of choosing biblical names for children is present in many forms of christianity.
in latin america, countless boys are named jesus either as a first name or second name.
there is even that singer jesus jones.

I knew someone who personalised his number plates as MT 24 14 which was kind of a red flag.

"Straight People" How do you handle it if a "gay" person "flirts" with you?
by booker-t inbefore i explain this question let me apologize to any person if this is an "offensive" question but i really am at a lost for an answer.
i work with a very nice guy at work and we have worked together for many years.
but lately i have to admit i have been alittle "uncomfortable" with some of his behavior.

what's in it for the women???
by chelsea ini have often wondered what's in it for the women???
i just read the story of minimus and it is so clear that such power and privilege on offer to males in the borg would be enticing and probably addictive... but the women will never have such offers or opportunities.
they will always be required to be in subjection.

Of course eclipse!!!! A person without a penis is terribly incapable of looking and talking directly at an audience...

They will always be required to be in subjection. They will always have to wear hats or hankies on their heads if there is so much as a male child present whilst saying a prayer... do they actually think that this is going to continue forever into their new world??? And are they truly okay with this???

I Feel so alone
by aussie inhi everyone, well im totally new at this but i thought i would give it a go anyway.so here is my story(short version).
well i have been with my boyfriend for 2yrs now and the last 4months he has started to get back into witnessing.
i have said from day one that i dont want to be one, but i did attend a meeting, memorial and some studys i did this for him to see what it was all about.

Hi! If i were in your situation i would tell my boyfriend that i live my life according to what i believe is the right thing to do in my heart, and that i would never allow humans to manipulate this. I would also say that i expect the same thing of a partner... someone who is corageous enough to do the right thing rather than what is dictated to him. Love is usually the right thing. Arbitrary rules are always something else.

Top 10 things cultish to outsiders, but normal to Witnesses!!
by themonster123 in1. whenever we did the kingdom hall cleaning and would wear casual clothes, we weren't allowed to wear any shirt/sweatshirt/top w/ a logo on it!!!
(and not obvious stuff like "camel cigs" or "budweiser"), but stuff like "reebok" "quiksilver" etc etc etc.
(omg) (hey, on the way out, you reminded me of this in another post!!).
