Holiday to Tasmania and my incredible book find

i have just spent the last few days in tasmania, where i was born and raised until the age of 20. my grandmother is a jw in her 80's but let me stay at her house because "no one is going to tell her she can not speak to her own family".

i visited relatives and friends, and found that almost everyone that i grew up with are no longer jws.

it was quite eye-opening; some have become christians, some have new age beliefs, some are athiests.

when i really thought about it i decided it was time to do something about that.. we went for supper at my parents tonight.

then why do the walk so slow when out in field service?????????.

honestly, i saw some dubs out witnessing yesterday and they have invented the "worlds most incredible slow walk".

it makes a glacier look like a speeding avalanche.

Try asking them why they don't use TV or the internet to broadcast their message, as would be done if any other sort of worldwide disaster was impending. They come up with some silly answers to that one.

Did anyone here ever really like field service?

as i have stated in previous posts, i absolutely hated field service.

hated it.

i dreaded it with a passion and couldn't wait to be done.

It was terrible. I remember as a little girl i used to spend the time daydreaming about money making schemes... things i could make and sell, ways i could get rich. As i got older i just got more and more embarrassed. It was stupid and humiliating, trying to get people to read magazines that were so infantile. I had no conviction. Sometimes cute boys came to the door... the horror and the shame!!!!!
