i put all this to my mum yesterday and she didnt like it, she didnt like the thought i got material before the fds shared it, i think she thought this material was created a bit nearer to the time of it being needed, food at the proper time and everything and not that it was sat waiting to be given.. anyway we also chatted about the holy spirit and how the jw's are denied what it could potentially do for them, well she said its abilties arent around today.... i asked about the society and asked if it was a prophet she said yes.

i then showed her the scripture that showes the gifts of the sprit 1 corinthians 12...prophecy is one of them, so then i asked her what else might still work if prophecy does.

it showed from that scripture that all the gifts of the spirit that show themselves are equally as important in the eye of god bla bla bla and wow she was stunned.... in the end she resorted to twisting scripture, because as we got onto how the sprit isnt an active force but a real thing she used verse 6 to prove that apparently it was his active force it says god does all these things in men...wtf?.

From Pentecost 33 there were always some "true" christians i.e., annointed ones, who co-existed with the false christians. Up until 1918 when the Society was chosen and then all true christians have to affiliate with the Society or else they are really false christians.

I kept trying to live up to the impossible standards and the Do more! motto, and I alway ended up Tired as hell, Guilty, Disappointed in myself, Depressed, Beaten.

I felt like I was being asked to defy gravity. Yeah, I could be what they wanted me to be for a few months, but then you realize the minute you stop fighting gravity it pulls you under, cause you're only freaking human. Then you get one of those guilt trip talks: "Brothers, we know there are some amongst us who are not following the bible based counsel of the faithful and discreet slave blah blah blab blah....." Oh yeah, real soothing.

And why make the assamblies so freakin long? It's like the make them tiring on purpose. Who the hell wants to sit for 8 hours a day in uncomfortable chairs, listening to boring talks? Heck, even if it was entertaining I wouldn't want to spend the entire day there.

i'm wondering, though, how many who got married as a jehovah's witness actually waited for their wedding day?

it's for a "good cause," namely my peace of mind.

Good topic. I was one of the dumb ones that married without really knowing the person. Cause of course, the most important thing is that you marry in the lord and triple cord and blah blah blah.

We did fool around a bit, which I took as a good sign that she was hot and lose and all that. Of course, as so often happens with women, once you marry them they lose interest in sex. Whatever!!!!!!!

Should DF'd people talk to other DF'd people??? YOU be the judge...

ok all... i was in a store looking for bedroom furniture and in walks this former elder with his new woman - they too are shopping for bedroom furniture.

he got df'd like 5 years ago so he has no idea i'm df'd.

recently, i've been thinking about how, when i got df'd, i would sit in the parking lot of the kh waiting for the meeting to start, and so would other df'd people.

I was disfellowshipped at one point. And I worked my ass off to get reinstated. I still beleived all the lies. Just because one is disfellowshipped doesn't mean one has woken up. I don't think you should give up on all disfellowshipped ones, but just feel em out a bit to see where they stand.

And I have to say, at one point while I was disfellowshipped I was more brainwashed than most witnesses in good standing.

Dude I feel for you. I had the same experience when I tried talking to the wife about it last night. Big mistake. She didnt see it the way i did.
