but it's pretty much snowing pretty hard...all the way from here to there... so i'm going to wait until next weekend to go.... here's a view from my back door.... brrrrrrr.... has the storm changed your plans?.

Todays snow is sticky. Not too wet and not too dry. I have 8 inches of new snow, on top of Thursday's 8 inches, and it's still snowing.
The deer are getting hungry and bold. They came into the backyard around 2 this afternoon and were eating my shrubs again. Before I could get the camera they ran off.
This winter wonderland is losing it's "Wonder" very quickly.
my hubby is turning 40 next year.
this apparently is nagging at him pretty bad.
(not too sure why, i mean he looks the exact same as he did the day i met him!.....
To me it took forever to reach 30. After that, the next ten years seemed like a week. After 40, birthday's were blah. I wanted them to go unnoticed. Still do.
Forty was the toughest, at every birthday since I say I'm 39. (I pretend to be joking)
A surprise birthday party? I didn't think it was possible but my (2nd) wife pulled it off for my 40th. She rented a hall with a DJ and invited about fifty people. It was held two weeks after my birthday. I was surprised and it was very uplifting that one year I needed it the most.
To answer your question, I think most are effected by age in some way. There is no set age although advancing into a new decade seems to be the hardest.
beginnings are always difficult.
wherever one starts, there is always the question: what was before that?
this question comes from our sense of objective causality - that everything must be preceded by its cause.. must everything have a cause?
I think the last guy to start a book that way had no reliable documentation to quote from.

i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.
he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

oil has been dropping..and dropping..and dropping.... two days ago, the price of gas was down to $1.67 a gallon...today, oil dropped even more but guess what?
a gallon of gas today went up to $1.85.....hmmmm.

I filled up a few times at a $1.59. This week is was $1.69 and yesterday it was $1.71.

Drove home from work last night, got home at 7pm. Twice as long as usual. Back to work this morning, 7 degrees, took the same time. 95 was a mess.
just to let everyone on here who knows my dad, that he is seriously ill, and unfortunately on life support.
he has renal and respiratory failure as a result of the quickest onset of pneumonia i have ever seen... it came on in the early hours of this morning.
he is waiting for an intensive care bed but the nearest one is 200 miles away.
This is sad news. We'll be thinking of you and Dansk.

two weeks ago i sent the first one to a friend of 45 years who made a galloping escape down a grocery aisle and out the xpress lane to avoid my frightening middle aged wife, my 4 year old grandson and myself.
of course, i do sport a patch of facial hair now, and he likely imagined that he heard me asking the clerk for a gallon of fresh blood and three straws.
anyway, he moves quite well for a man of 71, so i gave him a nicely embossed certificate, suitable for framing.
What would the certificate look like if your shunned by a disfellowshipped person?
i wish they were mandatory...but know that is stupid since guys could be girls...and girls could be guys...and you could be born in 1967 or 1997.....but cmon!...give a little bit of info...just be a bit honest...i just wish everyone would post an honest profile that would not incriminate themselves as a jw....if at all possible...anybody else feel like this?.............oompa
