Don't want to celebrate holidays even with my daughter...
by cognac ini feel like its so much work, stressful, commercialized and since i never formed the habit of it i hate the idea of celebrating them.
i wouldn't mind buying presents for my daughter on christmas and maybe doing a treasure hunt for halloween (i don't want her taking candy from even my neighbors) and things like that so she doesn't feel left out or like she's missing something.
just something easy and informal...

I think in a few years you'll be doing something like trick or treating and Christmas presents just for the children.
I didn't have my first birthday party until I was 20. After that there wasn't a lot of excitement to it. Same for all the holiday's but my kids were able to enjoy them and that's what I enjoyed.

When one parent removes children to a second location for the express purpose of denying the other parent visitation or custody, that is parental kidnapping --a very, very serious legal issue.
Agreed, although there may be issues we are unaware of. There's his side and her side of the story and this should be left for the courts.
Consult a lawyer and seek visitation rights for the children. IMO, the wife left for another man. Let the butterfly go, if it never comes back, then that's the way it was meant to be.

Your views of the headship
by greenie ini've heard a little about this business, but i'm curious as to what you all think about it.
jw and exjw women - do you/did you believe it and abide by it?
jw and exjw men - do you still believe it?

A man claiming headship is saying he has a dumb wife. If she accepts it, well guess what?

Think ive changed...can see it quite a bit laterly.PLEASE!!
by angel eyes inputting this out there.....going back 12months ago i was completely different to how i am now.
i am still loyal to jah and dont go against the scriptures, but even though ive recently returned to pioneering (only aux pio at present) i see im a little more laid back.. i think this has come through having to endure hell and back without any help, except jehovah, which im not complaining, im so glad his been there for me, for us both.
but i really believe that due to things that have badly and wrongly been allowed to take place etc its moulded me a little different to how i was.

I think of you as someone who believes in a supreme being,,, I have to ask; Why do you have to name him Jehovah?
If a supreme being existed, and I followed the commandments of the bible, would he destroy me because I didn't call him Jehovah?

Why do people follow me on Twitter... even though I never tweet anything?
by Elsewhere inabout six months ago i setup a twitter account.
i posted a few tweets here and there and then got bored of it and stopped.. dispite the fact that i never tweet anything, every few days i get an email notice stating that another person has started following me.. why?
can anyone think of any reason why people would want to follow someone wo never tweets?.

I'm on twitter and I don't tweet often. I don't see why the site is so popular. Anyone can follow me if they want. I have seven followers and most are from this forum.
My last tweet; "Latest: I hope my life isn't equal to the one sentence that fits into this space. Is this all there is?"

This May Be a Stupid Question
by snowbird inwhat happens to the members of a football team who sit on the sidelines and never get to play?.
if they are professionals, do they still get paid?.
i'm asking because i notice some who never leave the benches?.

They get to play in the last few minutes of a game when the coach has determined the team has no chance of winning and sometimes when the team has no chance of losing. It's protecting the valuable players.
