If Children grow up in the Truth but never get Baptized, why no shunning?
by NotaNess ini kind of understand the "never made the real commitment" part, but isn't learning the "truth" for 15 to 20 years, and going out into the "world" as opposed to committing,... the same as choosing to not accept jehover's (aka wts) ways and be with the brothers and sisters in union?.
why is the shunning treated different?
is it because, there's always hope by the parents, that they will come around?, etc.. .

What's your experiences? Is there something scriptural here?

by Warlock inthe world plays the "race card".
jw's play the "guilt card".. my wife gets up this morning, with great difficulty i might add, and starts getting ready to go to the meeting.
that's fine with me, and i don't mind taking her.

Club Meeting, America the Beautiful and the Pledge of Allegiance.....
by AK - Jeff inall in one night.. per some good advice a few weeks back from this board, i have attended my first 'service club' meeting of my life.
carmel had suggested to try kiwanis international - and so i did.
the introduction began to break jwism's from the get-go [precisely where i am at in my paradigm].

Rebel8 - Good reply.
The allegiance is meant, so as not to be the opposite of what it stands for, and that's AGAINST, this country as an enemy, to do it or it's people any harm. It has never meant, "I hold this Country Higher than God". Like an inner promise, and the biggest part I remember growing up with the allegiance in school, was the term "one nation under God". That meant something to me.
Things like this (the JW way of thinking) is what really makes logical people, NOT join a group like the witnesses. JW's think of it as something entirely different than what it is.
Congrats Jeff, this is where real life begins.
....Amen

REALLY NEED SOME HELP HERE!
by sinis injust to reiterate, i have not been to a meeting in years, and have no intention of going back.
my wife on the other hand is a "cold"/"lukewarm" jdub.
i really like it that way as she is not "strong" and misses a lot of meetings.

Listen...there's only one thing here that can really help you. You've got to think "Comedy Sitcom", "Reality TV".
Got to get creative here. Like a page out of a Carol Burnette, or Jim Carrey script, you have to make these people NOT want to come back, over silly things like.......
Act 1 - you go along with the whole "revival" thing, fully invite the opportunity for them to come study. You tro down a can of baked beans and broccoli 1 to 2 hours before they get there (without your wife knowing)...get real close and personal with your guests and let the SBD's fly bud.
Act 2 - they can't get their keys in the car door fast enough!
Keep this "innocent" stuff up a few meetings, and the problem is solved! Guaranteed.
Leave half your shirt tucked out, make uncomfortable jokes, DON'T CLIP YOUR TOE NAILS, and leave your shoes and socks off...stuff like that.
You can do it!!!

Boroean....all you need to know is that you're among a group of people that would tell Jesus to go cut his beard and clean his face off before he were to speak in front of the congregations, or to be...say...re-submersed if he wanted to.
This one issue alone, should make you cut and run. The adversary will stop at nothing to make as many of you follow his lead, and think in any way that denies Christ.
Shame on the Watchtower. The devil is the ruler of the entire inhabited earth huh? He resides in Bethel.
Can you see the red flags waving yet?
That is all I need to say.

Hey, inform her next time (might not be a next time), of how Jehover used pagan origins to start the organization she belongs to.
ie. Russell's Pyramid Memorial with Cross, Christ's return based on Pyramid lengths, Christmas celebrating in the beginning, etc.
She probably won't see what you mean though since she's so blinded by that light that keeps getting brighter and brighter though.
