Minimus, like you I was raised in the "false" from birth 1959. Got out 4 years ago. I was tired of the unjust treatment from elders who based what they said on their personal opinions, contradicting the governing body or Bible. The unloving, controlling attitude toward everything in your life from music you listen to, to what shade of tissue paper we blow our nose in!! And being an elders son, many times I saw people dealt with unlovingly, not by my dad, but by some other elders, and my dad would be outnumbered by the authoritative bastards to fight it. The molestation coverups are just the final nail in the coffin for me to see that this cult is mainly concerned with saving face in public to keep their shrinking numbers up so they won't miss out on some poor older sisters will or estate to be signed over to them,"all for the advancing of the good news of the kingdumb". Excuse me while I go yank in the restroom. It's just too nauseating for reality. Is that enough honesty Minimus?? Thanks for asking. It was therapeutic at least. Mr. Flipper

i stopped attending meetings late last year.
all during this time i was working on my wife (known on this board as amber rose), helping her see the problems with the watchtower.

Drew, it's good you spoke your mind and were firm in your convictions. But remember, all or most elders are loyal to the organization first, last and always. They can't be trusted to be telling you the truth or is it the same company line of B.S. I've had elders look sincere at me and nod their heads in agreement on points I've made just to win your trust so you can open up more to them about other interesting things that might kindle their "apparent concern in their brothers spiritual welfare", all the while plotting in their heads how they can catch you on something to form a judicial committee meeting on. Don't be duped by their apparent caring. Remember it's congregation, organization first, individual members second. If you have friends and family you care about and want to stay connected to in that religion, be discreet and fade away SSHH!!!! quietly. You aren't going to change the elders view. They are scared shitless they'll die at armageddon for listening to you. Just chill bro, just chill. Good luck, Mr. Flipper.

i could not argue with him.

Hey, nvr, that sucks how your parents behave. It's obvious though that the chain of abuse stopped with them. JH, your cat looks like one of our 6. Have had many cats and dogs, all rescues, one cat lived to be 20, another 18. They got pretty crotchety, but seemed to enjoy themselves until right before they croaked. One dog, medium sized, died in her sleep at age 16 after a day at the river. Several cats and dogs made it to 14 or 15. It's always hard when they go - even a long life for them is too short for us. flipper

Mr. Flipper here, if I ever told Mrs. Flipper I was her "spiritual head" she'd think I lost my head!! Also remember women advised to have the "quiet and mild spirit"?? Translation, listen to your authoritative husbands, respect their authority,be quiet and don't disagree. Also the "light gets brighter and brighter" was such a crock of S***. If you ask me with all the stuff going on now, child molestations, etc. The light is about turned off.

When Mr flipper told his 20 yr old pioneer daughter and showed AP article, she hadn't known about it but right away said it's Jehovah's way of cleaning up his org, don't worry, the people who did it will be dealt with, THEN: and besides, Dad, Fornication is just as bad as child abuse. (Mr fs ex and 18 yr old daughter have been trying to get him df'd for fornication) Hearing that sent chills down my spine. flipper

Hi, Vernon, I don't know how to post it on here, but what we did was print one of the AP articles off the thread by Dogpatch "Sixteen Child Sex Abuse Lawsuits......", on page 3 he's got a bunch of them. We printed 2 actually from newspapers in our area, then had a bunch of copies made. flipper

Yeah right.Talked to my mom yesterday (an elders wife since 1950's) she had not heard of the settlements. She's cool though, was concerned and wants me to send her the associated press release on it. But the point I'm making is none of the witness rank and file members know of this or very few. Therein lies the problem.That's how the governing body wants it as you all know. That way in 6 months they can print a Watchtower article on it and give everybody the interpretation of events as they want them to interpret it.The GB is already softening them up for this by printing brain dead WT articles like last Sunday's telling them to obey the elders, even if they aren't following the GB's advice and molesting kids and covering it over, just obey right? So I'm asking for all of us JWD members to get the word out please to rank and file members and everybody else, while it's still fresh. Before the GB can print articles telling the dubs how to view it.Lets not let the sun set on this issue. It will if we don't holler it from the rooftops. Mrs. Flipper and myself have left over a hundred flyers last 2 weeks on witness car windshields, grocery store car windshields, etc. I welcome any ideas you members have on what we can do. Please respond to this and let's work together to bring this very public. What ideas do you have ? Let me and all concerned know.
