Junction Guy- Mr. Flipper here. I used to be a Republican because of a rich ex-girlfriend. But because of George Bush ability to play God and kill all our young people for the sake of oil, um, excuse me business needs, I've switched to Democrat this last year. My eyes were really opened in part by watching "An Inconvenient Truth" about global warming and our governments desire to sit on their asses and not do a thing about it. So Mr. Flipper endorses bringing Al Gore back in for president and make John Edwards his running mate for vice president. Gore has Americas interests at heart, and John Edwards seems to have a good , fair, logical mind and take on matters that are important. Republican administrations have given me a bad case of political indigestion P.S. Plus Edwards has my same last name. What can I say??

What happened to you, to not to "feel the love" from the "friends"?
by swirlgirl inthinking back at the start of me questioning that perhaps the "friends" were not really true friends at all, were some experiences i will relate below: please share those that you have experienced.. after i had carpel tunnel surgery and was in a cast.....not one of the "friends" asked me about it?
at first i thought they wanted to be "polite" and not draw attention to the fact of the cast...but thinking more about it afterwards...it was just plain unloving and uncaring.

Any of us who have been in a position like ministerial servant or elder(I was a ms for 6 years) have definitely felt a lack of love when you quit being a servant. You are looked at as regressing in the org. and obviously going through some kind of spiritual weakness. All of a sudden, elder friends you had, pioneers, other ministerial servants treat you like you have rat poison or something, feeling they'll get the creeping scabies if they associate with you. Funny, I kind of felt I'd catch something from them too if I hung out with them, it's called arrogance

what was the strangest/worst counsel you recieved from elders ?
by flipper inhaving been in the organization for 30 years, after i got out i reflected on this.
as a teenager i was told to not let my hair grow over my ears because i might stumble other young ones in the congregation.
also, in order to carry the microphones i was told i couldn't wear white socks, had to wear black or dark blue socks.

Bigdreaux- Mr. Flipper here. I had a friend in the early 1980's who had an elder tell him his wifes top was too low cut, exposing too much cleavage. My friend told the elder he shouldn't be looking at his wifes cleavage and to mind his own business. Peace, Mr. Flipper

i talked with my mom who has been a witness for 55 years and she was quite concerned about the wrongness of what's going on and wanted me to send her the ap news story on it, which i did.

Dawg- Thanks. I agree with you. I think word is starting to spread about this in the witness organization. But to keep it spreading, we on the outside have to keep fanning the flame to keep it going. DJK- My daughter who is a regular pioneer, 20 years old, had this reaction when I told her of the molestation settlements," Well Dad, it shows Jehovah is cleaning up the organization bringing it out. Another news story today on abuse settlements...
by flipper ina friend of mr f heard a story on kfbk sacramento radio news a little after 8 this am...3 people in woodland ca received their settlement money, and 7,000 others have come forward with accusations.
i can't find it anywhere - does anyone know about this?

Passive Suicide- Mr. Flipper here. I totally agree with your sentiments on child abuse. My 3 kids are in early 20's now. If anyone had ever tampered with them and I found out, I would be in prison now because of going after the perpetrators. Nobody exposing this molestation issue with the witnesses is out for a buck . Silent Lambs has good motives for exposing this sick stuff. Do yourself a favor and order the vhs tape of the 2002 Dateline program detailing some actual abuse victims of the witnesses, and you'll see this is an extremely serious issue, not to be taken lightly. Check with silent lambs.org to order. Watching it I had tears for these victims, it opened my eyes even more. Mary- In regards to the 200 Russian annointed, I don't have any written verification, but talked personally for 10 minutes on the phone with Bill Bowen of Silent Lambs. by Crumpet ini've read on and off here of various things that told people that god's spirit was not directing the organisation.. personally for me on the last time i got dfed it was the fact that i got reinstated by a meeting of the boe at the exact same moment i was smoking my first cigarettes in 7 months.
i didnt question it exactly but it did seem odd.
i mean i had no idea that they were discussing my reinstatement at that moment that i succumbed and had decided in my favour.

Crumpet, Mr.Flipper here.What told me that no holy spirit was moving the elders was when I started getting personal opinions as counsel from them instead of what was written in the Bible or even their own gb's publications. In my second marriage, it lasted only year and a half, because of her substance abuse, (meth). But I was picking up alot of accounts and work in my janitorial business, because of helping provide for my then teenagers and ex-wifes kids too. 5 kids in all living at home. I was making all the meetings and service at the time and when telling this "influential" elder off hand that I was picking up more accounts in my business, he immediately warned me, " You don't want to get materialistic here. Be careful about picking up work". I said, "It's not like we're buying lots of stuff, this is to pay the bills and feed kids. Jeez, dumbass elder. Then when this same druggie ex-wife chose to leave me, even though she posed a danger to my teenagers, that same elder and other elders tried to convince me two months after the split to take her back, saying to me,"Well if your ex-wife does'nt get along with your kids, just visit your kids without her while trying to live with her and make the marriage work." (we had already been through marriage counseling). I told the elders," I'm not going to sacrifice my kids welfare just to have a relationship with a methamphetamine addicted psychotic wife because you guys say I should, just because she hasn't committed adultery, yet!!!! " So I was put on their shit list because I disagreed with their insane counsel. That was the last straw for me 4 years ago. I've never been back since.Holy spirit my ass. Peace out to you. Really, think about it, don't you think God in heaven holds these upper level men on the governing body accountable?? Or do you think they'll get away with it in the end. I think not.
