Congratulations, at least your sister made the effort to come into town for your graduation, even if she did preach to you in her card!

What can I possibly do..........
by passive suicide ini am at a loss.
i've finally realized what my heart has been questioning for many years...'the truth', quite possibly/probably...is not.
meanwhile..........i have a wife, and child........both of which are firmly in the grasp of my former beliefs.

Welcome Passive Suicide. That's what I thought I was doing when I first considered leaving JW's, committing passive suicide, because God was going to kill me at Armageddon. But do you really want to serve a god that says - "live this way or I will kill you"...?
There are a few on this forum who are in your position - living with a believing mate and knowing that one day their own children may shun them.
What you have to do is hard, feeling your way with your gut, I assume you love your wife and you don't want to alienate her or your children. There is alot of advice on this forum, make use of people experiences. You have a hard road ahead of you but beyond is a freedom that is worth having, I personally have never been happier.

looking forward to the pictures. They are starting proms a little bit over here in England but they're not huge events and only some schools do them. I think my little sisters school did one.

all i ever want is to know people are listening to me, but im aware most are too busy to do much more. I personally would never be able to help anyone with anything other than words, i have no time or money to do anything else. my aim in life is to get rid of the chip on my shoulder and try to move on, although i think i need counselling to do that as it is much harder than i thought. the fact you turned up for a demonstration and it had been cancelled must have been really annoying. i'd have been upset too.

IDENTITY=Behavior There are no CAUSELESS crimes or innocent evils
by Terry inwe often hear it said: love the sinner, but; hate the sin.. we try and reform the child molester.
we put career criminals through rehabiliation.
we let the drunk driver off with a fine and a warning over and over until an innocent family is wiped out.. why separate the deed from the doer?

so nark, are you saying that if someone cannot honestly say that they wouldn't do the same in the same position or are so different from the person that they have no conception of what that person is like that that person committing the wrongdoing cannot be judged? if so, i disagree.

Re: The successful lawsuit for the 16 victims and how JWs will view this
by juni ini applaud the outcome that love/norris accomplished for the sixteen victims of abuse.. but, i have a concern.
it is this: for the rank and file jw, won't they view this as their "faithful and discreet" slave just got beat up by those awful apostates (associating this with the silent lambs group) ?.
i feel for some jws who are "sitting on the fence" to use their term that hopefully they will think long and hard about what is happening in the organization - considering the facts.. what do you think?.
