You should take note that I was hooked into trying to fill up a glass till it was overflowing but I learned that close family may react by throwing it back in my face and complaining about not overdoing things and how they would never do that. And I still have the empty glass to remind me they were right - on both counts! So go give yourself to the WTBTS and see what's different! I did! And here I am!

It is true that JWs will treat you like a chicken and coop you up and clip your wings to stop you flying into freedom and only feed you stuff that forces you to lay eggs on peoples doorsteps. Whatever you do feels like you are cooped up!

What was the first mean/unjust thing you saw as a JW that affected you?
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inthink back.
you can list more than one.
.it's ok. how did you rationalize the actions of others?

It is amazing how it takes real effort to share your feelings with others after being JW. It is like you have been programmed to think your feelings are evil and all the rules are holy. It is good to see some who have chosen to follow their hearts even though their head told them God was not on their side. I think it is what Jesus would have done!

Crude oil - fractional distillation - components! Love is more like this to me! Lust is different in that it may complement love or be separated from it!

Creationism is Stupid, Stupid, STOOOOPID!
by Farkel inok. i used to believe in creationism even after i left the dubs.
i was a braindead window washer at the time.
i don't believe in creationism now, but i do believe in a creator and that is different.

Each of us see life all around us and often are emotionally motivated by it! It is difficult to prove that evolution has conjured an emotion which attaches our soul felt essence to our environment in ways which force us to conclude it is all futile and chance and may as well just be a dark void, which in probability terms would be a scenario with a higher degree of likelihood. Emotions often are at odds with reason and are more powerful as far as their influences on our personal experience is concerned. So it may be argued that they influence the world of humanity far more than does reason and logic - for the moment!

Love in respect to the question you ask is an insufficient word to adequately proceed with the analysis this topic deserves. But for the sake of brevity I would say it needs a focus!

If I ever meet a poster I know I will watch for them. As of this second I know no one and so will quietly leave the thread Elvis style. FYI I will be singing A little less conversation as I click submit!

But no one has touched on the purity and essence of the emotion that is captured in the moment of a reciprocal interaction. It is quite different from that of detachment!

Why God permits wickedness..the argument and counter logic
by wherehasmyhairgone inwhen i was a pioneer i used to get the comment a lot, as i am sure most here have.. my stock answer was the analogy.... wt 2002 10/1 page 7 as an example.
imagine a father allowing his child to go thru a painful operation in-order to get better...hence why god permits suffering.
anyway i used to trot this out without any counter arguments.. even when i left, it still seemed a reasonable explanations, then something clicked.

It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his own step - let alone what we should all believe in. Women on the other hand......

No, I just know for people I don't watch. Well that's just plain silly. I know but I like it!
