  What is/was the last most believable date for second coming/Armageddon?

  i was never a witness, i joined this site after my wife started studying with them, and i got upset over some of the things that resulted from that.

  however, i grew up in a similar high-control group called the worldwide church of god.

  much like the witnesses, in the mid 70s ( i forget the exact year, i was only in elementary school in those days, but it may have been 75, just like jws), there was a big push toward the end being at hand, the great tribulation is coming, etc etc.

  Even veteran prosecutors were stunned by the case outlined in court Tuesday: A South Side couple were accused of flogging their 12- year-old daughter to death with a 5-foot stretch of electrical cable after she was tied down.

  Larry and Constance Slack, described by neighbors as devoutly religious, delivered 160 blows to their daughter Laree, according to the charges, stuffing a towel in her mouth at one point to silence her screams.

  "This is the absolute worst I've seen," Assistant State's Atty. Robert Hovey whispered as the Slacks, both 41, were led into the courtroom. The pair were ordered held without bond on first-degree murder charges in the fatal weekend beating of their daughter as well as charges of aggravated battery of a child for the beating of their 8-year-old son.

  In a slow, steady voice, Assistant State's Atty. Beth Pfeiffer stood before the judge and began to read the accusations against the Slacks, described by authorities and neighbors as Jehovah's Witnesses who were so strict with their six children that they were not even allowed to play with other kids from the neighborhood.

  If you could ask an elder your questions

  what question do you want to ask or have you asked that would stump or have stumped an elder?

  i'm in the position where my mom wants me to come back and wants me to have my questions answered (even though she has dodged most of mine) so that i will once again see its the truth and want to return.

  so i'm going to set a meeting with an elder to see if he would be willing to attempt to answer some of my questions to prove to me beyond a doubt that i'm in the wrong.

  I have asked them if Adam was created before the animals or after them.

  They can't say that there are two creation myths contradicting each other. They just won't answer.

  1799 just seems so very long ago. It's like saying that Jesus came in 1492.

  He did come on October 12, 1492.

  He was unknown in America before this date.

  I need help from researchers

  i recently started talking to an old friend that is still a jdub.

  i think he is starting to have some doubts about jdubism due to some events in his personal life recently.. i think i remember a thread not too long ago about different pagan beliefs/rituals that jdub's observe.

  like wedding rings, bridal gowns and the whole bridal shower stuff, and if i'm not mistaken the whole wedding cermony thing also.. if anyone knows where i can find out this information that shows some pagan rituals that jdub's currently participate in i would greatly appreciate it.. thanks a million.

  Is that you...?

  My sisters and my friends used to call me Faraón, but I don't seem to recall you. I am 62 years old, born in Mexico but living in the USA since 1962.

  Just about you can think of that is not in the bible used by the Hebrews. Of course, if the Hebrews used it, it ceased to be of pagan origin, even if pagans invented it.

  Nowadays you could say that cell phones, computers, airplanes, etc. are of pagan origin.

  Substance is also spelled incorrectly. Who in the world proof read any of this for errors?

  The problem is that they claim that someone in Florida with a Spanish last name --"Hidalgo" (noble) --, designed the packaging of a product made in China.

  The version in Spanish is different from the English one, and has spelling and grammatical errors too.

  2nd corinithians 3 is a major set back for those who believe in keeping the 10 commandments.

  It seems to me that all the things written in the 10 commandments are good, and it seems that the ark is still with God in Revelation 11:19, so how can the commands themselves be gone?"

  I specially like the 10th, where it says that wives are the property of the husband, just like his slaves, his ox, his ass, or his house.

  Faraon then runs like a gazelle trying to avoid the rock throwing from an angry mob.

  here is a riddle.

  i am thinking of something that god did not create, but is mentioned in the book of genesis and also throughout the bible.. what could it be?.
