JW's + child sacrifice

interesting article here by the provocative david icke (of the 'we are ruled by alien lizards' persuasion).. there is a comment in the article about child sacrifice rituals, etc.

this brings to mind the fact that most jw parents are of course quite prepared to allow their little baby or child to be sacrificed to jehovah out of blind obedience to the organisation's blood policy.

also, the jw policy on insisting that 2 witnesses testify to any child abuse/molestation, thus making the religion a haven for paedophiles, can also be said to be a form of child sacrifice.

Ok, I´ll bite.

You guys nit pick and poke fun of JWs but are oblivious to what has taken place in other religions like in Catholicism where the priest themselves were the pedophiles and werent removed. You have got to be one dumb parent if your child told you some one try to have there way with them sexually and you dismiss it because no one witness it or one person witness it. Plus if you disagree with the haven two witnesses thing. Your disagreement is really with the Bible not the JWs

Don´t JWs call themselves ministers? If this is the case, then I would rather have my daughters sleep in the house of an unknown Catholic minister than an unknown JW minister. The odds are about 400 to 1 In this case, and following the JWs rules, they would be unjustly excommunicated because as far as I know, there were not two adult Catholic ministers brought in as witnesses in the trial of any of the charged priests. I am against any people or religion failing to protect the children from sexual predators. At least the RCC has paid dearly for the crimes of sexual abuse. The WT has not suffered the same fate because it calls its ministers "unpaid volunteers" when it comes to being sued. People don't disgree with this rule because they have been ~~brainwashed~~ biblically trained to equate the WT with yahoover. You have just demonstrated this by opting to defend the Borganization rather than the babble. You waste your time with your arguments. Most people here don't trust or see the babble as the word of god, and will find almost zero simpatizers with the Witchtower. You should learn from this experience that the babble is not a book that comes from a just or wise god. Faraon

1 John 4:1

went to the meeting this morning and stayed for the talk.

the speaker used a text that i thought was very ironic, 1 john 4:1 which reads " beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they origanate with god, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

" i found this ironic becuase we were trained not to test anything in the publications and never question what we hear from the platform.

Sorry Ozzie, but a spellchecker would do him no good. Patients is a real word, so a spellchecker would not detect it. Copy-paste it, and you'll see that the red underline is not there.

If you have MS Word installed, and you have doubts, you should right-click the word you are not sure about and click synonyms on the opening little extension.

they use the bible to back that up.. how old do they say the earth is, and what would they use to back that up?.

I remember the same. I asked my ex how did the plants survive for one thousand years without sunlight. Wait. How was there liquid water with no sun for four thousand years? You know the answer. Jehovah can do everything.

Did they mention that smallpox was eradicated in the 20th century? The disease that killed untold millions throughout history will kill no more. How does this fit in with their end-time predictions?

They also failed to mention that they were responsible of many of those deaths when, until 1952, they advised their members NOT to get vaccinated.

Only if you believe that God is the one portrayed in the bible as god. I would not say that God is a d*ck, but based in the bible, Jehovah qualifies as one with room to spare. Note: I do not think of Jehovah as God, but as the invention of someone hating God. By the way, Why would anyone get upset if someone talks of God as a female and claims or says that he has a penis and testicles? Faraon

i was just reading gumby's thread on 'a big old lie' he'd found in the bible.. as far as i got reading, folks were discussing jehovah killing everyone most of the time and i suppose threatening to do again in the future, according to the wtbts.

but why do we expect god to be nice to people?

Where in the bible does it say that it was Satan who tempted the woman? Flavius Josephus, a Jew, in Antiquities of the Jews, book 1 v 4 claims that it was a regular snake, and that all animals could speak at the time. This book is about as old as the NT.

the genesis account of angels 'materialising' and having sex with women always worried me as a witness.

in all animals, man included, the sex drive is hormonal.

God can't give us something He doesn't have? Says who? Humans have many things "God" doesn't- ie. limititations, physicial bodies,sex etc.
God doesn't have limitations? Bible sure seems to indicate he does. Couldn't find Adam in the garden. Seems like he had a physical body as well if he was walking in the garden.

Don't forget Exodus 4:24 when the LORD wanted to kill Moses, but was saved when Zipporah threw him ~~a bone~~ ~~meat~~ the foreskin of her son at his feet. Somehow it reminds me of people throwing a piece of meat to dogs when they attack them.

There couldn't have been that many materialized angels- there weren't that many women (or people) for that matter, on the Earth.
Are you referring to the numbers of angel mentioned? I didn't think anything was said about how many materialized.

Well, it seems that Cain built a city for very few women then.

If it's all BS why do you waste your valuable brain power and time even discussing it. Although some things are highly questionable and definitely open to debate and scrutiny, there is still VALUABLE lessons here. I've seen some great legitimate exercises in logic and paradigm shift here... this isn't one of them.
After accepting it as fact my whole life, examining the bible stories critically is something that I enjoy. And I know I'm not alone. I disagree with your last statement above, I think it is legitimate.

That makes (at least) two of us.

me either.. yip....these goats actually faint when startled and look like they have rigor- mortise when they fallm over.
