  Martin Luther King JR. The 3rd

  i wanted to start a topic on this man because i know there is alot of bad things said about sharperton and jackson on this site and i am not a big fan either, but i do like martin luther king jr the 3rd.. with shaperton and jackson i do believe they do good for people from time to time, but i also think they cause hurt race relations quite a bit, and cause racial diverstiy, but i have heard jr. the 3rd talk on a few occasions and he is a humble guy and i believe he is good for race relations.. 1. he never makes things worse than what they are.. 2. he concentrates on subjects as better education for african american students in area where there is not much funding, and cleans up communities and sets up foundations for communities that need help.. 3. he talked about his foundations on a sports show one time, and he mentioned quite a few white athletes who helps him with these foundations, and i tell you why this is important to me.

  it is not just because i am white, but also because if there is anyone who has an excuse to be rascist its this man because of all his family went through especially his dad.

  instead of being a rascist though he tries to improve race relations and includes white people in what he tries to accomplish.

  i just watched it on cnn.

  the black anchor man on cnn was discussing it with a black guest and of course they do nothing but support him.

  they said he has helped many people, hes been harassed, blah, blah,blah.

  rude people at the door

  why you were part of the jw faith and you were by yourself at a persons door ,who was really rude toward you, did you ever say anything nasty back instead of saying have a nice day?

  also did you ever want to just knock someone out?

  any experiences or thoughts of what you wanted to do?

  i know alot of topics on here are focused on how boring the jw faith is and all the stuff about what you can and can not do.

  i thought i would ask the reverse questions about church.

  i know some of you might go to smaller churches so this may not apply to you, but talking to some of my buddies and from people at work sometimes i think they just go to church fo the girls and for all the recreation.

  i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.

  well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

  i read most of the posts on here and i was just trying to get an understanding on certain topics.

  i read some peoples material and why they dont believe in the jw faith.

  i understand that some people left the jw faith and some people on here may never have been jws or believed in it, so i understand why you post and give info back and forth, but i have trouble understanding some of the disfellowshipped ones on here.

  as you all know by now i am a jw backer, and in the first week on here i have gone back and forth with people.

  alot of people on here have a problem with all the rules.

  in my opinion i dont think they were too hard to follow and most of it was stuff that you shouldnt be doing anyways.

  it would be alot easier if they had symbols on here for everyone below their names.

  i dont know if they do or not.. i try to back the jws, but i dont know if i am talking to athiests, other christians, disfellowshiped ones, or people who just left the truth.

  it would be nice to know sometimes.. you might ask why i would wanna know because i should answer everyone the same way, but on here you cant.

  i am a former jw, but i still believe what they do about the holidays?

  i have already talked about origins and all that stuff so i wanted to ask something without bringing up scriptual or historical backgrounds for a change.. my question is (whatever your beliefs may be) what % of people who celebrate christmas, if you took the presents out of christmas would still acknowledge christmas as much as they do now?
