  Forgiveness is crucially important in many spiritual teachings...especially forgiveness of yourself, because that makes it a lot easier to forgive others. Jesus put it in the Lord's prayer because it's important.... forgiveness has the ability to cancel karmic debt, and even collapse time.

  That doesn't mean that we're supposed to continue taking abuse from them...whether they are friend, foe or family, we have every right to get their negativity out of our lives. There is no cosmic law that says blood ties make it ok to abuse family members.

  Do not volunteer any more information to them. You've said enough. If it ever comes down to them asking you about your doubts, just tell them you're praying for direction from Jehovah and you'll get back to them. Then leave them twisting in the wind forever.

  I haven't had time to watch this one yet, but I suspect it's along the same lines as the Russian research I've been looking into, particularly by Fosar-Bludorf. They are coming up with some quite compelling evidence that we are indeed connected to a higher consciousness.

  If someone had told us 50 years ago that one day in our lifetime we would all be connected via the Internet, we would have said they were crazy. If someone tells us today that we will one day be connected in the same way but without a computer, we would say they were crazy. Well, its coming through a DNA upgrade that the Bible foretold, when it said that the 12 tribes of Israel would come together for good.

  How much John 17 makes sense to me now, scientifically!

  I had this very long and very frustrating conversation with my friend's JW mother last night. I told her about the 11 year old kid that was on Fox News, who had vivid memories of his WWII experiences, including names, dates, places and events. She basically chalked it up to the kid being possessed by Satan.

  What a shock, eh?

  For me, everything changed once I stopped viewing the Bible as an Idol.

  There was a time when the Watchtower was an enticing draw for spiritual people. World events and total control of our media had us hopelessly clueless. But the Internet has changed all that. In the information age, there's simply no excuse to get caught up in this cult. That's why almost all of the growth is in third world countries where not many have access to the web.

  It wouldn't surprise me if good old boozin' Joe had a pact with Hitler to sacrifice a few JW's on the Hegelian altar to use as proof that they were fulfilling Bible prophecy.

  Hitler must have been truly impressed by the Watchtower's effectiveness in mind control and causing complete mental numbness.

  Proverbs 8:1-3 -- is Wisdom personified as a female?

  i was reading proverbs chapter 8 last night, and i just happened to be using the nasb, and i noticed that wisdom is personified as a female in verses 1-3, calling out to people to listen.

  i noticed that in the nwt, wisdom is not personified in these verses, but rather referred to as "it".

  eerie coincidence was that this morning on the subway train, a woman was reading proverbs 8 in her kjv as i was standing over her.

There are biological exceptions.... but the energy (or cencentrated light, as some physicists describe it) by which everything exists in our physical universe, consists of two polarities (the Logos!).
