It is really sad how fearful she is of discovering some scientifically logical evidence that her religion is a ruse. If you ask me though, it all comes down to Bible worship. The idea that truth (or knowledge) can only come from one source, whether it be "God" or the Bible, is what is symbolized by Adam and Eve eating of the fruit. It causes a delusion that keeps us veiled from the true reality.

Personally, I can't describe the wonderful feeling of elation, liberation, and joy that I felt once I understood that the Bible is merely a collection of myths and not the God-breathed "owner's manual" of life that the WT purports it to be. The truth will truly set you free, not enslave you.

Interestingly, the Bible's esoteric meaning bares it all.

one of the women was beaten, and both were detained by police.. two women who are jehovahs witnesses were invited into the home of their neighbor in the city of davanagere, located in central india, on the morning of december 20, 2010. the witnesses had met the woman a few years ago and were seeking to share a positive thought from the bible with her after learning that her husband had died.

betterdaze.... Hooray for India and it's religious hate law! Bad news for the Watchtower in India. They better make a different set of books and ragazines for countries that simply won't allow attacking the religion of others.

While this physical attack is appalling, the Watchtower can expect more of this around the world. It's just karma catching up with them. You reap what you sow.

now these are growing alot and far more than the jw's.... how does that fulfill their profecies hey?.

It's funny how JW's don't even consider the East in their world view. Two-thirds of the world just gets written off as "Babylon the Great", and it goes down as an afterthought, once Jehovah wipes out his REAL enemy- Christendom. It's basically just a "tidying up" after the main annihilation.

So which makes more sense? Sex or no sex in the "new system"?

obviously jah wouldn't allow for millions of pregnancies in the new system for fear of the same problem today of overpopulation.

so would he throw in sex but not allow for the women to become pregnant?

or would there be just no sex at all?

The idea that all of our future and that of all of our relatives can only be associated with this particular planet and one particular time period is rather neanderthal and closed-minded, and one day soon this will become very obvious. We already have the technology for time travel and interdimensional space travel. The most likely scenario is that there are TENS OF MILLIONS of planets inhabited with HUMAN life in the MILKY WAY GALAXY ALONE, because that is the dominant gene here. Every planet, galaxy, and individual has its own cosmic "IP Address". Another Galaxy may be dominant in centaur-like creatures or what not. What they tell us science fiction isn't really fiction at all. If you saw the movie Avatar, that's a good example.

This is limited thinking that is completely linear, ignorant of quantum reality, that accounts for biological life only, not taking into consideration that we have spirits that are not limited to these bodies. (Eccl. 12:7).

The only fiction is in the Bible and in the heads of those who believe in it literally. Earthbound humans just can't resist the idea that they are the center of the universe.

If you could choose one book to suggest to a JW...

i'm sure this isn't an uncommon question but i'll ask anyway.. suppose you had the chance to suggest one book, essay, article, or other writing with the goal of helping a loved one wake up... which one would it be?.

bear in mind the goal is to subvert the programmed hair-trigger defenses that cause a complete shutdown of critical thinking.

this automatically excludes anything that would directly place the wt society or its history in a negative light.

Biocentrism - Revolutionary theory of looking at existence/reality

i have been reading a book for some time that i find fascinating.

the book is biocentrism, how life and consciousness are the keys to understanding the true nature of the universe by robert lanza.. .

it proposes a theory that is certainly different than how we look at the world.. basically our reality is only a perception that is not absolute but only relative to our life and existence in this particular coordinates of the universe, meaning that our senses perceive space and time only in relationship to our relative existence.

Someone sent me a link a few years ago to Plato's Allegory of the Cave. It got me to thinking in a completely different way about everything. Just about every mystic, guru, Master and philosopher has been trying to tell us for thousands of years that we exist in the shadow of the reality. Paul used those same words. I think we are living in a time when we will rediscover these things, and get in touch with our true purpose for being here.

It is an awesome thing that we as a group, at one time under the burdensome and stifling load of the Watchtower, can freely discuss these things on an open forum.

The Watchtower can never admit that half of "God" is female, as that would put an end to their Narcissist Jehoobergod. The Evil "Mother of the Harlots" Catholic Church is almost a century ahead of them in that regard, at least they have their folks praying to Mary. I guess that makes the Watchtower the Father of the Harlots, or something like that. They are really two sides of the same coin.

i would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.

the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".

anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".
