Torn over presidential candidates

talk about my own crisis of conscience!!.

im a republican, and have always voted for republican candidates for president, this upcoming election leaves me very little choice.

this may be the first presidential election since 1996 that i wont vote, nor can i even get excited over.. .

Blu-ray V HD-DVD

ok whose made the leap and bought one of these formats - what are your impressions?

when i see online surveys about what people are planning to buy there seems a 2:1 ratio of blu-ray players to hd-dvd.

thats telling.

Blu-ray burners are availible now. So are HD-DVD burners (at least for computers). They both have heavy encryption for commercial discs but I wouldn't worry about that too much as I hear they have both been hacked already.

Personally, I'm biding my time as I do with any new technology. It never pays to be an early adopter. Give them a bit more time and either one will drop out or they will start producing burners that can handle both formats (as they did with DVDs and the + and - formats).

i can think of several lines of refutation: .

1 - ask 'is increase proof of gods blessing?

Oh but dubs are the only ones who preach the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth....

It's like that joke where the guy goes to heaven and gets told by god to keep quiet when walking past a certain part of heaven as thats where the dubs are and they think they are the only ones there.

They don't let the rank and file know about other religions doing and believing the same things as this would make them no longer unique. They would be just another publishing company.

in latin america, countless boys are named jesus either as a first name or second name.

there is even that singer jesus jones.

How Would You Approach a JW "studying" in Public Transportation?

i get to the office by train.

recently, when i left the train at my destination station i noticed a jw, sitting there, obviously "studying" the "revelation"-book for the night's cbs.

it was too late for my, but i was thinking about saying something like "don't you get it at the third time that this is bullshit?

others will be brought to their knees by an iron rod that will break their legs.

so the preacher pleaded, "submit willingly or have your legs broken.

Do the 10 questions thing like;

You: I noticed you are studying the Revelation book I assume you are a witness do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?

Witness: (glowing with pride picturing themselves on the platform at the next TMO with their 'experience') "Why sure"

1. What is your opinion of 1914?

2. How many times have you studied that piece of crap before?

3. Do you think armageddon is coming in 2034?

etc etc I'm sure many others could think of much better questions. When you've rattled off all 10, walk away...
