  i mean, how would you really know if you do, in fact, suck as a poster?

  would it be because when you post all the sudden there can be no more submissions?

  can you kill the thread killer thread?.

  WLG, I actually like your posts (most of the time). You are articulate, and caring, a smart ass, and not afraid to be a dumb ass. You seem like a real person who has much to contribute to this arena of maddness so many of us are addicted to.

  As for the contest....I know I won't be up for anything because I'm INVISIBLE. I'm just trying to get to junior menber before my 1st anniversary.

  Nobody sucks at posting here IMO. If you could come up with some catagories like "thread killer", "most interesting newbie", "most opinionated", "strangest", "creepiest", "posting when they should be working", "biggest flirt", "research geek"....just some ideas.

  And By Their Fruits You Will Know Them

  so.... i took my mom to the doctor today, and my grandma (adopted) walked in, looked right at me and just looked away.

  no smile, nothing....

  this is the woman whom i have taken to the hospital, whom i have stayed with time after time when she had surgery so i could help her, whom has known me since i was tiny..... can you imagine not even smiling or acknowledging someone you have known since infancy, who has shown so much love and loyalty for you over the years?

  Have you ever seen anything strange in the sky?

  just a while ago, i was looking at the clouds in the dark sky, and i saw a rotating pattern of lights, moving clockwise going left, then moving counter clockwise and moving right.

  it did that for a while, going back and forth maybe 10 times.

  about 100 lights made up this rotating pattern.

  Years ago. Years and years ago, about 1979, I was with a few friends (we had been smoking a bit of pot) and were hanging out at City Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. We saw a very large lighted object move through the clouds, nothing that could be easily explained. We looked in the paper for what we were sure was a big story. Nothing, of course. Anyway, we all went on to live productive, non-alien affected lives.

  Freedom from the Watchtower (to me) is the knowledge that this mind control cult no longer has power over me. Knowledge that it is not just an innocent approach to God, but actually has become the very thing it has accused all other avenues of spirituality of being.

  Perspective. Fresh air. It changes everything.

  I just made Caregiver of the Year!!!

  i went to a holiday party at work today and was totally surprised to win the "caregiver of the year" award.

  i work as a cna for an elder care agency and have been there 9 months.

  but i have more than 15 years experience with the elderly.. anyway, several of my clients wrote in letters to our corporate offices to explain why i should win the award.

  I'd rather have my eyes dilated and be forced to stare into the sun than to be stuck on a couple of buses full of dubs.

  Could not have said it better. Except for maybe...I'd rather turn myself over to a gastrointerologist for a full exam than go on a Bethel cruise with a bunch of dubs. No matter what, it would be a gagathon.

  That site was creepy, kinda like double standards in a color brochure. JW's know how to make the most of an opportunity to make money.

  hi, i'm poppyr's son.

  i was brought up a jehovah's witness and have only very recently lots most of my faith in it.

  for years i was in that religion and could never quite make sense of it.

  My youngest daughter "busted for drugs...."

  every parent's nightmare: a child busted for drugs.... leah, our youngest, was driving through billingss, mo, a little town between here and springfield.

  Is JWD #1.....My Therapist....his first advice on JW's, me, and divorce

  i have told my new therapist so much about jwd, some of the insightful comments here, and how much it has helped me and other dubs that we both now wonder if there are other jw help sites.

  i really don't know as this was the first and only one i ever found, and it was just what i needed.. he has pegged me well as impatient, and knows i was vocal about my wake-up from jw.

  his advice right now is to back off totally on trying to help any others, and i have told him that many here have said no one will wake-up until they want to for some reason.

  But I do sometimes wish I had never awakened, as in many ways it would be easier. Everything was black and white. Now I am the stranger in a strange land.

  I understand this. If I only could have stayed deaf, dumb, and blind, then I would have a daily path I could follow. But, I was dying inside, and I ran out of life force. For me personally, even if I never survive this, the perspective that I have gained has been worth it. My conscience is more content. Life outside the box at least offers hope.

  I do feel sorry for my wife though...I have changed and she never could have seen it coming.

  Me too. My husband was hit hard, because I changed, not him. I can't offer myself as a sacrifice to pretense any more. Growth is change, I've grown.
