I too think they will eventually stop publishing the number if it continues to increase. I think the words "genuine anointed" will be printed even more in future articles.

Surge in "anointed ones"
by dozy inthe nightmare scenario is slowly unravelling for the wts.. since 1935 , wtbts policy was to shut up the kingdom of heaven by implying that any new anointed was at best misled & at worst a fake.
franzs replacement theory did little to help matters.
this suppressed many jws from becoming anointed.. recent wt articles & changes in thought has resulted in a surge in jws claiming this status.

I'm so sorry to hear about this MsMcD.
To lose anyone to death is hard enough but to lose them at such a young age is extremely tough.
I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts.

As a Witness Did you Feel "Coerced" to be "Used" for " Privileges" ?
by flipper inbeing raised in a fairly prominent witness family was a challenge for me growing up .
my dad was city overseer for 30 years in the same city .
older brother in bethel for 8 years, has been an elder 35 years , an older sister who went to gilead school and regular pioneered for years .

I sought out the "priveleges" as soon as I was baptized. I went to the elders and asked them to use me in any way they can. I went to them and asked about them recommending me for MS. Sometimes I thought I was making a difference, sometimes I didn't. Sometimes I thought I was appreciated, many times I felt unappreciated. Through it all though, I just wanted to do what God wanted me to do

Are you happy with the name you were given at birth?
by Outaservice inthe bible attaches importance to your name.
if not, what would you like to change it to?
i always hated mine!

I was always happy with my name, Robert.
I think it's nice that dad and grandpa have the same name.
I'm sure glad I don't have dad's middle name though.

Would you support a witness who was refusing a transfusion?
by Caedes ini was thinking about what i would do if a family member was in the situation of refusing a blood transfusion.
if the doctors were trying to force them to accept a transfusion, would i support my family members right to choose or would i take the position that they are brainwashed and are incapable of making a rational choice on the matter?
does the fact that they are hopelessly ill informed take away from their right to make a choice that they know will kill them?

My mother had a very serious surgery last summer that resulted in a considerable amount blood loss for her. The surgeon said before and after the surgery that he wished mom wasn't a JW and it would help her recovery. I don't think i'd ever been so afraid in my life, but I had to respect her wishes to refuse blood as I would want her to respect my wishes on such matters. Thankfully she's very well at this time.

Did they make you cry?
by sacolton innot me personally, but my brother-in-law was to give a talk and wasn't completely prepared.
his talk wasn't long enough.. the elder took him to the back room and belittled him to the point where he cried.
i guess this is what they mean by.

Last year, there was a young brother, early thirties, that was involved in an accident on his job and was in a coma for about a month. One elder was asked when he would go visit him and he said...."he's not gonna notice i'm there, besides....he doesn't go to meetings anyways." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and it made sister that heard this cry. Unfortunately that brother died soon after that. This is love overflowing??

What's with Ex-Jw's who join another religion? Fool me Twice????
by Witness 007 insorry no offense but why do some ex-witnesses here join another group....we have a muslim {muhamed was given a koran by an angel in a cave?
}....we have some baptists etc......i researched the bible and found there are 1,000's of gospels not part of the bible...so what's the deal...."fool me once shame on you..fool me twice shame on me" or do you have a reason for continued belief in religion...i really wan't to know since iam agnostic and don't believe in god or evolution????
?

There is nothing wrong with joining a church, IMO.
There is something wrong with joining another CULT.
If an ex-cult member joins another cult then it would be a "fool me twice" situation.
I couldn't agree more.

PS3 or Xbox 360
by 5go inmy next system is a wii.. though what should i get after it i am getting all three eventually.
some day..

R.F.
Oh btw, have you give the PSP(Playstation Portable) a thought?
I'm not sure how much you know about it but it's an awesome little system that's basically a hand held PS2. Along with playing games and UMD movies, you can browse the internet with it, and store photos and music. They've even come out with a "slim" version of it recently. Even though I don't play it nearly as much as the PS3, it still is a must have in my opinion.

PS3!
Built in WiFi
Free online gameplay
Reliable hardware
Sure, there aren't as many games out yet for it as the 360, but it has many great titles out already and many more to come.

Did You Get All Excited When Announcements Were Made For New Elders & MS?
by minimus ingenerally, when you heard the names announced, what went through your mind?
-
R.F.
Yes I was excited for them. At that time of course, I really wanted to see another congregation formed in this area and I thought these appointments would help us get to that point.
