last week in the columbus dispatch an article was published that told people how insurers are cancelling policies of homeowners who own certain breeds of dogs.
the quote below is an editorial in today's paper, regarding the article.
I used to read meters for a utility (P.G.&E.). Every time I was attacked by a dog, the asswipe owner of the dog would put their hands to their cheeks and say, "Oh my, he's never attacked anyone before". The response to that was, yes he's never attacked YOU before.
I remember I had a house on my route that had a yard full of Rottweilers. I was careful to make sure that the owner put the dogs in the house before I entered the yard. Even then you are weary, because if there is a kid in the house there is a 100% chance that he or she will wait until you are in no mans land and then open some sort of door so you can be eaten by the dogs for the childs entertainment. Anyway, one time I noticed blood on the street by the front fence. I asked the owner of the Rotts what happened, she told me that some kid was teasing her poor dogs and they got out somehow and attacked their tormentor.
She is a typical vicious dog owner, it's the victims fault, not her dogs and certainly not her fault. People with dogs that hurt and maim people need to serve some jail time.

i am watching the news and it was just reported that michael jackson adopted a biracial baby about three weeks ago.
he has a nanny for the other two children, but the baby proved to much for one nanny.
michael told her that she could have a helper with the stipulation that it be one of jehovahs witnesses.

My ex-wife took me to Baton Rouge to vist her Mom about 15 years ago.
She made sure to take me directly to Ralph and Kakoos(sp) when we got off the plane. Holly cow!!! Being a California boy I had never tasted food like that before in my life. The food in Louisana is incredible.
After dinner she took to a place I had never heard of before, Krispy Kreme. There wasn't any in California at the time. Remember the first time you had a Krispy Kreme? I havn't tasted a better doughnut.

Yes Lisa I agree about the rusty wheel analogy. Being that I was the geek in 1st grade on up, that didn't salute the flag and ran from the room like demons were shooting out of everybodys ass when a kid would bring in a ouija board. This made me the odd man out with the other kids and who could blame them, Witness kids are tought to be proud of being weirdos, it shows your dedication to Jehovah. Any way, my point being that even though I can socialize and get along with normal (non-J.W.) I can't seem to relate to people the way most other people do, you know what I mean? My fellow employees seem to love me at work, but I just don't quite fit in. It's something you can't fake, social skills are something you are supposed to learn from the 1st grade up, not being dragged door to door preaching the Good News. Blah

This is something that only people that were brought up J.W.s from birth can understand, if you became a Witness later on in life, you may think you can empathize, but beleive me you have no idea what Joel is talking about. I am 43 soon to be 44, so I know exactly what Joel feels inside, because I have the same experiences and "TRUTH" demons. You have to keep in mind that when Joel and I were children and then teenagers that you could cut the excitement about the impending Armageddon with a knife. We of that Witness generation were stunted educationally and emotionally, I'm sure it's bad now for witness children but at least they're not sitting around looking at the calander for a specific date for Armageddon, like us drones that were brought up in the '60s.
LDH-- My mother is 70 and she just purchaced insurance that assures her that she will be 100% covered for home care if needed in the future.
