  All people have the freedom to decide wether to use their mind and reasoning abilities or not, they can do their own thinking and reasoning or they can simply let others do their thinking and reasoning for them. What a grand blessing it is to have others do our thinking and reasoning for us, They who daily commune with He who knows all and lovingly channel His thoughts to us who choose not to think for ourselves.

  Even now They are throwing the "sacred bones" to see what it is we should do next. It makes me giddy and ligthheaded just thinking about it. Oh sorry, I forgot to not think; I sinned again.

  Asperger's Syndrome

  has anyone heard of asperger's syndrome?

  i was doing research the other day, for someone, and came across this disorder.

  in reading it, i am positive both my youngest son and his wife have it.

  On the TV program,"Boston Legal", one of the characters on that show has asperger's syndrome, he's the one that hops around instead of walking and always goes around with his palms glued to his lap, among other symptoms that he displays. I like him and, sorry, he makes me laugh. Of course, all those nutty lawyers make me laugh (lawyers on "Boston Legal").

  I think that in order to survive, the WBTS, which it's struggeling to do now, will become like the great religions of christendom, it will end up maintaining it's doctrines but practicing a form of laissez-faire with it's members. That is, let the people do as they choose, much like the Catholic church does now with it's members.

  JW's are now where the Catholics were in the 15th century, IMO.

  Goodbye to JWD ... hello to JWN !

  as i announced some time ago, jwd as it is will not continue .... ... but .... it's clear from people's comments that they do like the site and many would like it or something else like it to continue.. one issue was the forum software that was self-developed and not really in a good state to hand-over to anyone but i've been working on that and can now reveal the first release of what will probably be called jwn (son of jwd):.

  it is still work-in-progress so not all features are enabled yet but it will allow you to browse the site in a similar way to this one and it is pointing at the same database (although because of the way the caching works, new posts made on this site won't appear immediately).

  The thinking up to now has been this – that the individual exists for the society so the individual has

  to follow just what the society says. He has to fit with the society. That is the definition of the normal

  human being – to fit with the society. Even if the society is insane, you have to fit with it; then you are

  normal. Even if the society is neurotic and you try to be sane, you will be thought neurotic because

  the society is the majority. They have power so they can make anybody feel guilty

  .

  People who subscribe to this type of thinking are people who believe in slavery--Their own enslavement-- sad.

  People should be free to pursue their own life, liberty and happiness; never initiating force against others nor permitting others to initiate force against them.

  I read somewhere,(Ayn Rand,I believe), that stated that man has free will and that that free will

  is: whether he, the individual, chooses either to use or not to use his mind, all his other decesions are dependent

  on the use of that free will. That is the only thing man is free to do, to use or not to use his mind.

  I agree with that thought, in case anybody cares?

  the false prophet is not like the mistaken scientist or misguided philosopher---just a person in error.. the false prophet is either a deceiving imposter or a self-deceived victim of his own pathology.. any who would identify themselves as "prophet" is laying claim to a special agency of communication beyond the powers of mere mortal man.

  what credentials must such a person obtain?

  what makes them special above all others.

  The U.S. might win by force and constant enforcement (occupation) but they really will never win those peoples hearts and minds, I think.

  We are dealing with the "Taliban" and what all of that stands for. You might as well, IMO, ask if the U.S. can EVER make JW's become a

  democratic organization? I see those taliban as fanatics who will willingly die for their faith or kill their family members for dishonoring their

  faith, their customs.

  If you're not a devout Moslem then you are part of satan's world. You, having being a JW, know how we knew the world was bad and destined

  for destruction, something to be hated and avoided. The taliban are even worse than JW's, even though I'm sure there are JW's who, even now,

  would stone their parent dishonoring offspring if the society were to say it was okay to do so.

  So, no, those people do not want democracy. They will fight to the death for their theocracy.
