That illustrates why I prefer to engage any JW I meet in conversation.
I have learned enough about the corporation religion so that I can frame a question in a way for those who are not hard of thinking will have to ponder over and can not refer to literature for an answer.

johannes greber's book "communication with the spirit word of god -- it's laws and purpose" states that, in order to seek god's truth one must cummunicate with the spirit world on a regular basis.
according to the governing body, they get their teachings from those who have died and been resurrected to heaven (the watchtower, jan. 1, 2007, p.28, para.11).
also, it was published that the gb meets on a regular basis, every wednesday (the watchtower, may 15, 2008, p.29).
They boast about channeling the latest updates from the beyond, so evidently it would be during their meetings as a composite body that they would channel the spirit direction. The only uncertain thing is the method they use. Is it automatic writing? A seance? Table rapping? Ectoplasm?

during a discussion over the weekend, we exchanged ideas about recent changes in terminology related to assembly days, conventions and new titles for the higher-ups.
i commented that for years in 'security' at larger meetings we were told to talk to any that seemed out of place and ask questions that would indicate if they were apostates - antiquated terms like 'overseer' or a reference the 'truth' book.. another in our group brought up the character in the orwell book 1984 and how his job was to separate new and approved terms from old words.
this was called doublethink and blackwhite.

These so called governing body asshats are very insignificant. They would have to increase their membership sevenfold to have the same number of followers that Sai Baba had. And they presume to preach the gospel to all the inhabited earth.

as a little background - i was born-in to being a witness, back in '79, in detroit, in mostly black and poor congregations.
baptized when 10-ish, stayed around, was on the fast track to ms, but faded when i moved out at 24ish.. there was a combination of a few things that got me on the road to "freedom" from the cognitive dissonance that kept me "in the truth" for so long.
the main thing was, being an artist and studying marketing, my thinking was patterned to constantly question if i was doing something "correctly," as constant improvement and questioning is what facilitates artistic and mental growth.
