i wouldnt even know where to start to answer that.
Everything.
If someone asked me why I dont believe in the WTS I would probably be speechless. I dont even remember why I believed them in the first place.
I am so mentally disconnected from them that I am finding myself presuming that other witnesses feel the same way - I have discovered that I am not totally wrong in that assumption either.
However I am also finding that some of my family are being inquisitive about me so I have to be careful. I have opened up so much to some elders that eventhough they agree with everything I say, I may see this coming back to haunt me. There is a part of me that wants this to happen.
Sorry for changing topic...
dam I'm tired.....
anyone else!!!!!!!!!!
study articles have strong counsel against apostates - modern day apostates display characteristics similar to those of the devil.
their mind may be poisoned by a critical attitude towards individuals in the congregations , christian elders or the governing body.
some apostates oppose the use of the divine name , jehovah.
the obsurdity of these debates is as obvious and apparent as their reason for being presented to begin with....
this is pure "speculation" - plain & simple. But we all know the WTS loves to speculate (and then of course tell the R&F not to)
So why? Why does the WTS like to speculate? IT GIVES FALSE HOPE !!!!
Why give hope? It draws the broken and hurt closer to the org by way of that hope.
The WTS has learned that it cannot make positive statements about speculitive topics because people are too intelligent now and we (apostates) call them on it! They have are tired of "dancing" around the subjects afterward. Thus they print these "maybe" "likely" "probably" artcles and tickle the ears of those sensitive to the issue.
our co will not let the no denim at bethel prohibition die.. in recent visits to nearby congos he has made it very clear that denim is not to be worn at meetings or in field circus.. if any of the "aged women" notice younger women wearing the forbidden fabric, they are to speak with them.
anything like this happen in your area?.
om.
Of course jehoobie also gets giant hives seeing a woman eating with each leg clad in a tube of cloth, instead of in the easy access to baby grobag skirt so beloved of the Gibberin buddy.
well here is a question I have never thought to ask... I have always presumed that dresses are merely the product of the robe/wrap type of fabric attire that all men and woman at one time adorned themselves with.
But why did the "dress" stay with woman and men moved onto pants? What was the societal / cultural reasoning for this? anyone?

i was in one KH where denim was forbidden, another sisters were wearing whole denim dresses. Its just another typical example of how some people like to impose their own opinions on other people.
this religion is so childish......... i cant believe some of the petty things JW's nit-pick about, just have some fun once in your life!
i was checking out another topic and pulled off something that wobble said.. given that - how many of you would go back if the wts decided to enact shunning for everybody who was not active?
if tomorrow they decided that da'ing or fading or in simple terms, being inactive for any reason whatsoever, was a shunning offense - how many would start going back immediately just so their family wouldn't be cut off?
how many would not go back and would instead would be willing to stand firm on their belief that the wts is wrong in what they teach?
I WOULD SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOVE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............i would then be free without me doing anything or hurting anybody directly.........PLEASE let that happen...set me free...baby...set me free
I have thought the same thing. WTS has indicated that for those that are inactive and have been away from meetings for an extended period of time would actually be asked to study again to come back, and if you refused you would essentially confirming your position that you are no longer one of JW's.
This would be a great way to be "DF'd" - for doing nothing! I think some family & friends would have a problem with that.
what's with all these gol-dang eyeballs?.
are they still using all these eyeballs in todays literature?.
does it relate to the "eye in the pyramid" illuminati motif?.
well these images are certainly different from those in the Revelation book, and I can assure you there is no connection of the "wheels in wheels" to dispensations!
I am surprised to see this illustration, is this from studies in the scriptures vol-7?
Russel just could not get away from everything relating to his rediculous "dispensations" the same way Franz & Jaracz cant get away from everything relating to the 144k....
i have no evidence to back up what i am about to say.
i have no paperwork, no recordings, no photos, no nothing.
and yet this nags at me.. i have this sneaky feeling that soon the wbts is going to broaden their view of "apostasy" and begin to include people who don't currently fit into their apostate views.. i have this itch that's telling me that, basically, if you present anything negative concerning the truth, you are at risk of being hauled before an elder body and punished for this somehow (disfellowshipping, reproof?)..
Believing differently is enough to be labelled an apostate; you don't even have to express it.How would anyone know what you believed if you didn't express it?
Jehovah knows. So dont even THINK about questioning us or your an apostate and Jehovah will kill you at Armageddon!

I see others have posted similarly but this has always been the way. If you disagree, wait on Jehova and keep it to yourself.
Otherwise, your out..........
