  Let us not just focus on our self and all the bad and dark thoughts - they will just eat us up from inside - instead let's give life a chance.

  Although I appreciate Beroea (anonymous) taking the time to express his heartfelt angst, It’s my impression this individuals mistakes posts that appear to exhibit ‘anger’ and ‘hate’, with the freedom to articulate personal opinions and experiences regarding our personal histories as Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as openly divulging and discussing the possible existence of myth and disinformation propagated by the WTB&TS.

  Silence and Ignorance, is not…life, in my opinion.

  No Christmas

  …recent appeal for financial support, seen on television’s Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). For a monetary offering viewers would be sent an ornament that was usable either as the centerpiece of a Christmas table or for decorating the tree.

  I could imagine those ‘pumping’ the WTB&TS “Planned Giving Desk” squirming because they didn’t think of doing something similar first. Like after all the financial legalities were completed, sending out little “Jehovah globes” that you hold upside down and once right side up again, it snows.

  A Tasty Lil Bit O' Gossip.

  here's a picture of the late sir john fieldhouse during his time as an admiral in the royal navy.

  he later became first sea lord and was in charge of operations during the falklands war when england and argentina slugged it out in the south atlantic back in '82.

  his wife shown here is lady fieldhouse - known to her friends as midge - who is a very active jehovahs witness residing in lee on solent, near portsmouth.

  Englishman, what discreet courtesies, if any, were shown Lady Fieldhouse (Midge) in an effort to avoid abject embarrassment, considering her notoriety as a Jehovah’s Witness, for herself and those in attendance during official functions which always perform patriotic flourishes, such as, God Save the Queen, etc. that I was not afforded during similar circumstances as a child and Jehovah’s Witness, then having to endure the scorn of my peers for years so Jehovah’s Name may be sanctified?

  Or, because of her "leverage" did she "play" it both ways without social repercussion from either peer group?

  growing up in the borg, with 5 meetings a week, personal study, field service, etc.

  it is pounded into your head that you can only have an intimate relationship with jehovah as long as you are associated with his "spirit-directed organization.

  " leave the organization then jehovah leaves you.

  …And for the athiest posters, what was it that brought you to the realization that there is no higher power.

  Tweets’, I have absolutely no idea if there is or isn’t a ‘higher power’, and neither does any one else.

  However I can personally guarantee you that the WTB&TS claims of cosmic significance are no more viable than the Coca-Cola Corporation advertising it’s fuzzy brown liquid is actually the “Real Thing”.

  But by 'God' those two Corporations can really ring that cash register, huh?

  If ATM use at WTB&TS conventions is verifiable, makes perfect business sense to me, my Bank uses electronic banking, seems to work well for them and is convenient for me.

  I suspect the Bank sponsoring the ATMs at conventions is most likely the investment banker Jehovah God…er…the WTB&TS…no…right the first time…Jehovah God uses.

  If any one attending a convention with ATM’s could tip me off about whom the bank sponsor is, I wouldn’t mind picking up a few shares of their bless'ed stock.

  What do you think of Seeker (good or bad)?

  reading farkel's thoughts about being called names, and remembering my own discouragement about the same thing, and thinking about all the posts recently decrying the fighting and bad language, i'm curious to know how my "seeker" persona is perceived here.

  i know i have fought with some, made friends with others, so how i am perceived will be varied.

  i want to know it all, the good, the bad, the ugly.

  non.rough estimate fine.

  i sure like the comradery here for ex"s. but wonder why so many here leave their belief in god altogether.. what is it that caused disbelief?

  Although you didn't define your intrepretation of 'god', if you're referring to the one germane to this environment, the WTB&TS, I found the concept to be ultimately destructive towards people and other points of view.
