i've been reading this thread for some time and finally had the opportunity to create an account.

i am anxious to meet you all and have a support group/active audience over the next crucial months and years following.

background: long-time doubter, giving way to frustration and skepticism beginning about 10 years ago and finally to total admission that this is a cult and that atheism is the way to go.

Now the best thing to do is make an exit as fast as you can. Every day you stay makes it harder to leave. If you can move if the town you live in is too small to avoid the dubbers. "Field Service Groups" are more important now than ever before?

the scare bells are ringing again in the congregations.

this past week, the field service group leader/commander/overlord/whatever made a pretty lengthy announcement that, going forward, the field service groups are going to be of the utmost importance as we wind down towards the end here.

while no indication on when this end might actually be, it was hinted that we might not always have access to the congregation proper and that the few families that are part of the fsg would have to become close knit that they might depend on one another when things get ugly.. i haven't read everything that has passed through the wbts' sphincter lately, but did i miss something?

Back in the 75 scare and when Communism fell in the 90s they preaced that there would be a time when the elders would have to step in and act on behalf of the GB when communication would be down. didn't armageddon suppose to start in the mideast?

isn't the unrest moving closer and closer to israel?

For those who don't know the details it gets strange. First of it goes to the king of the north and the king of the south. If I remember the southern king is the duo anglo American power of the USA and Great Britain. The king of the North was Napoleon, then Germany under Hitler, and it was last known as the former USSR. The belief by those who know the details goes that the image of the beast or the UN would out law all religion. Jehovah would protect the dubbers from this wipe out of religion until the very last group of religion is destroyed. Then Satan who controls the UN would send the King of the north to destroy the Dubbers and this would be the trigger that would make Jesus step in to start the war of wars Armageddon. What most dubbers don't know is that the society is looking for the spark to ignite all of this. Like the Archduke Ferdinand's assassination sparked the first world war. So what dubbers who study deep into the bull shit of the cult think is that the unrest of some nation will culminate with the UN stepping in to rid the world of religion to keep stability. This sets the stage for the big H or big A which ever way you want to spell it. But its like shoveling shit from one side of the barn to the other, its still shit and its still there.

When the UN steps in and rids the world of religoin there is a cry of peace and secutiry.

I don't think of them much and don't think much of them. I was smart enough and so are many here to figure out that it is bull shit on a grand scale. As I told my old partner in Michigan who dumped his brother because he did not get reinstated after the"new arrangement" in the late 70s. He said it was his brother who left the religion. I said yes but its you who left your brother. If these idiots will piss on their own blood what chance do I have? None thats how much. To break free you have to work it out in your own mind that its bull shit and understand why. Then move on and move away if you like me lived in a small town where people treated you like a pedophile for not going to meetings. I moved and don't think about them much anymore. I have become so secure in my understanding of the cult that I could no more go back to meetings then to join the NAMBLA group. They equally make me sick to the point of vomiting. I no longer believe that some invisible sky god listens to what I am thinking judging me and answering my prayers and needs. I don't believe in a bible [book put together by the council of Nicea under Constantine the great in A.D. 325] as some inerrant word of god. A book that is at best bad literature and at worst a guide on how treat others with contempt and very poorly. Its bull shit from the first page of Gen. to the last page of Rev. Fuck how anyone could read this clap trap and think for a second that its the word of a supreme invisible sky god.

That a talking snake that was really an angle gone bad talked a woman made of a rib from a man made of mud into eating a piece of fruit from a tree that dispensed knowledge of good and evil. When the tree right next to it was the tree of everlasting life. If the snake [really and angle gone wild] was so smart why not have her eat from the tree of life first and then eat from the tree of good and bad and put god in a real dilemma, He would have to break one of his promises to fulfill the other. Its a sheep herders attempt to try to understand the world around them.

Think of men in black where Tommy lee Jones said there is always some end of the world problem. I sold off all my guns and started to pioneer when the iron curtain came down in 92. I have since bought many of my guns back and left the org in 96 when they changed the def. of Generation. There has always been and always will be some catastrophe happening and the dubbs will always be attributing it to the end times. Its all bull shit so don't get caught up in the propaganda. That said humans do have some problems that will cause us a lot of trouble. We are at peak oil right now, the USA reached this in 71, the world in about 06. Water, fresh water is running low for what the population is using, and in the north pacific gyre its a bowl of plastic soup. We have a lot of man made problems and idiots like the Republicans keep saying it ain't so. Well we are most likely going to see 4$ a gallon oil in summer and those of us who are so stupid as to think the 1.35 a gallon gas a year ago was normal and kept the SUV and Silverado are going to wish they had the Honda.

Old vs young in the cult have different reasons for giving a pass to the things that are wrong. People who have invested all their life and time giving up putting any money aside for the future because they would be "throwing it in the streets" now have some 40 or 50 years invested and can not make up at this late date for all they did wrong. They have to live the lie or admit their whole life was a failure. The young many are just not developed in critical thinking skills and brain washed to challenge any ideas that do not make sense. Its a catch 22. The borg knows it and uses this to keep people in place. Its all about money and power. Some at the top may be so deluded like Limbaugh drinking his own kool-aid but many have to know what they are doing.

Is the April 2011 Auxillary Pioneer 30 hours official ???

we were not at the meeting last weekend and just wondering if the "30 hour" rule for april 2011 pioneer hours was actually read to the congregations ???.

I think the real goal here is nothing more than spreading out the pain of going in service. If you lower the time needed to get the title of Pioneer than more people will do it. Thereby keeping up the hours spent to bring in new recruits. If 5 people put in 50 hours but now they drop to 2 who are putting in the time, if you lower that time and give a title out you get say 10 or 12 people now putting in 30 hours instead of 50. You had 5 people putting in 250 hours now you have 10 putting in 30 and you have gained a net increase of propaganda spreading. I think its only reason is to up the time spent spreading the bull shit. Take the price down on the crap soda and more people will be lured into buy and profits actually go up.

i've noticed that humans work better in small groups of like minded individuals.

the congregation books studies were always more enjoyable than the kingdom hall meetings to speak from a jw perspective.. when more people get involved the worse the scanario can get.

not to say all large groups are corrupt or even to say that all small groups are benign.

The USA has become so corrupt that it is not a Republic anymore. As the late great Carlin put it there is a club and you and I ain't in it. Lobbyist and supreme court decision giving corporations the status of an individual allowing them to contribute vast amounts of cash to the person who will vote for legalized rape of what ever will turn a profit for the corporations. Add in a growing spread of racism and the tea bagging movement [a movement that spun out of racism] and right wing Christian nut jobs, that run from the Westboro Baptist Church to Jerry Fallwell and his ilk and you have one bipolar nation that is much like Baby Hughie. Its big and strong and has the brain of a pea.

America is a nation where 50% of the population fights science and maturity. Fat old white people who hang tea bags from tricorn hats and bring guns to political events, because a guy in the white house has a tan. The wrong kind of tan, unlike the tan man from Ohio. Many applaud the shooting of Tiller in Wichita. I saw many here where I unfortunately live for the time being holding signs that said we support Broder [tillers assassin] The bible is a source of much evil here in the good old USA where they omitted the part about blacks being 3/5s of a human when the new tea bag house read the constitution. But this is coming from a group that can read the bible and gloss over all the crazy shit and there is a lot of crazy shit in that book. No the USA is powerful in its military but it is weak in mind and most of its on the Right.

The shooting of a congresswoman this weekend show it. The right like Limbaugh spewed hate speech even after that saying it was the left that brought it on. That the shooter was a drugged up nut. [this coming from a guy who pays his maid to buy Oxy.] Tea baggers to the abortion assassins, to the museum in Kentucky where they show Noah riding a triceratops, they are nuts here. From the anti gays to the anti abortion to the anti government tea baggers and those who collect Medicare and social security and tell the government to keep out of it, we are a nation of idiots and the years of fighting against intellectuals has bore fruit.
