Would you have left if you had it into a position of power?
by GermanXJW ini used to be a ms and stepped aside because i could not stand the wrong teachings (chronology, annointed etc.
) and the high pressure they worked unto people anymore.
when i stepped aside i also stopped going to the meetings and doing field service.. on the other hand, when i was in i was always longing for "privileges".

GermanJW, your comment about having "power over" other people puts the problem in perfect perception.
The Master did not set up his followers so that anyone would have "power over" their brothers. He upbraided them when they came seeking the most powerful positions with him in the kingdom.
When you think of the only two laws He left us (Love God with a whole soul; love your neighbor as yourself) there is nothing in those words that even hints at power over other people. As is so succintly put elsewhere, it is the man demonstrating power over his own tongue who is powerful. This concept of power over other people is the outworking of the Spirit of Satan working in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses, and constitutes the ultimate bastardization of The Master's teachings about God, who is LOVE.

I feel the same way I did the first time this question was asked: I loathe and despise the leadership and their so-called "theology" and especially their "theological warfare". Any organization that could publish an article about the Creator and title it Developing the Godly Quality of Hate, deserves nothing but the worst.
As for the boneheads that stay in this organization, I say WAKETHEFUCKUP.

Can You Believe Bible Prophecy?

many believe that between a fourth and a third of the bible concerns prophecy.. many believe that history shows that god's unerring prophecies of the kingdoms and empires of,egypt,isreal,judah,babylon,persia,greece and rome all came to pass in minute detail.. if his prophecies came true in centuries past,can you----should you-----believe in bible prophecy today?.
btw.we are not talking about the society but the many other religious teachers and scholars who swear by the fulfillment of bible prophecy.. blueblades

No, I can't believe bible prophecy. How 'bout you?
Most bible prophecy is found in the OLD testament. You know, the one with the Bronze Age god. Bronze Age Gods tend to make most of the prophecies for a reason, that reason is that Bronze Age MAN's brain had evolved at that time to the point where he could understand the concept of prophecy. And, as with all new discoveries, they liked playing around with this concept and they overdid it. And overdoing it is what man does best.
Remember when we first got onto making lemon scent? We put that stuff into everything and I mean EVERYthing. Man, that lemon scent was everywhere. Dish washing soap. dishwasher soap, furniture wax, diapers, bath soap, floor wax, doggie detergent, scented candles, new cars, used cars, prophet's clothing - if your product didn't smell like lemons, it was gonna sit on the shelf and rot!!!
Same with prophecy. Along about the bronze age, man's brain was finally advanced enough to grock prophecy and we went at it like a house afire. We even had ball point pens with lemo-scented INK fer chrissake.
I say let it run its course. Ignore it and it will go away...with any luck at all.

I think Knorr was a complete idiot and latent homosexual. I understand that with every new group that came in to work the presses, etc., Knorr would get them all together in a big room some where and tell the newbies how to urinate without having to touch "themselves." That is a sign of a large sickness as far as I'm concerned.
He should have stayed with the family soup business.

Today was my D-Day ... I beat the odds!
by Amazing inlast year on july 15th, 2002, my cardiologist gave me less than a year to live.
with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.
even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.

Just stay away from them wimmen. They's some wimmen on here that make MY blud pressure jump around like a beached fish. So just go for answering the guy's notes and don't get to involved with the wimmin. I have it on good authority that wimmen like to brag about it when some pore dude dies in the saddle - especially if it's HER saddle. (I dunno. Gal thing I guess)
