long before i began my fade, there was a certain "sister" in the congo who married a non-jw man.
she was very happily married despite of all the forecasts of "doom and gloom" among the "friends".
how sad it was to hear her make the following comment in conversation - "sometimes i feel badly about marrying an unbeliever, since other sisters may look at me and follow my example.
The only place I could find a woman that wasn't crazy was in the world Found her, married her and couldn't be happier.
My parents stayed together for years because of the truth - it sucks growing up in a family where the parents don't get along. I believe any witnesses married and are not happy are living a lie...

I confessed - no one knew about and she didn't even want to tell them (she wanted to get a hotel room the next day and keep at it! - shoulda taken her up on the offer damn it) Anyway I was sorry - was a mess about it - but because I had a strike against my name in a previous cong they DF'd me. I had to go through the pain and then the humiliation of going through what happened in detail with 3 men for nothing.
Glad they did though otherwise I am sure I'd still be there...

only this last year have i been looking around for answers and started realising there is a foundation for my reasons of not going back.
at first i was happy that it wasn't because i was making excuses for not going back but bad things were happening outside of the people i know across the org.. what pissed me off the most (and the reason i found this site) is because i got the blame for my brother in-law having sex in my house with someone other than his wife (my sister) because i am not witness and thus have low standards.. i'll try to keep this short: i have 2 sisters, one brother and 2 parents (fancy that) both remarried however.
Hey penny - that's so funny you said BIL!! My wife calls my other sister (faded 10 yrs ago way before me) SIL and I call her husband BIL!! We are really close. They got married in Vegas last year - top wedding.
i can easily live without my mobile telephone - never use it at the moment and i rarely do.. i couldn't live without my pc because of all the things i can do on it including (when i have internet) jwd .

one thing I didn't mention (I actually can't believe I forgot) is is the reason it came out was my brother in-law tried to cut his wrists 2 days later and ended up in hospital. I was there for them unconditionally. I even spoke to him after everyone knew and told him regardless I am still his brother. He buggered up (I have to) but he is human. I can't belive he didn't stick up for me when it hit the fan...
