i knew of an elder who ran a janitorial business for decades here [surprize] - his primary employees were his kids, ranging in age from 3 or 4 to teenager at various times.
he would bring in the whole family, they would spread out and empty bags, vacuum, and dust.
in a flash they are out and off to the book study or whatever.. he was able to 'witness wipe' several offices after 5 o'clock and before the 7 o'clock meeting times.
I knew an elder who was so "sick" he had to go on government benefits. At same time he was running an ISP and software company in the name of his kids and was raking it in. Just before I got DF'd he had put a MASSIVE pool with waterfall etc out the back of his house (where he ran the company from).
What was worse is how they always complained they had no money!!!
a couple fo days ago two witnesses knocked with their children, they gave me flowers and a card with the following message:.
"we want you know that we love you, and that you are in our prayers..we are thinking about you.. we remember too, and are grateful for yur support in the past, especially 6 years ago, when you came to the home, following our loss of dennis (not his real name).. in these last days, life is harder then ever.
satan is trying to break all of us, be it through health problems, the ones we love and even our brothers and sisters where it hurts the most.
I am amazed how fake (and silly) this sort of things sounds to me now. I hope you find the right response that gives you satisfaction.

I have been checking out some videos on youtube and I agree. A lot of witnesses posting defences and a lot of them quite nasty like "may jehovah strike you down" type gear. What is that about?

i learned an interesting fact from my father's doctor when he was being treated for a stroke.
mom had mentioned that even though dad couldn't speak well enough to ask for a glass of water he could clearly say, "goddammit".
the dr. explained that epithets are from a different part of the brain and this area had not been affected by the stroke.. i found this very interesting.
I used to give my wife a hard time when I first left saying she had a potty mouth. 3 years on and she is now giving me a hard time about my potty mouth...
if you had to pick the best question that would disprove a scared jw belief what would it be?
i am not looking to debate the meaning of a scripture vs. a different scripture, rather i am looking for one of their beliefs that science and or history can totally dispute.
i may only be able to ask one question and there is a good chance that it will end up back to the elders.
I have to say I was blown away by the UN thing. Maybe print the 1 page document and take it to work and show them when you ask the question about the association.
this morning i saw a witness mother and her son heading out into service.
from the area they were in i think they were going to be doing some street corner work.
i was stopped at a light when they walked in front of my car.
God I know that feeling. I remember calling on school friends and trying to hide behind my father. I never heard the end of it at school. I was glad when I found a friend that was a couple years older than I and they let us go door to door together.
We used to either knock really softly or if someone did come to the door say - "You don't want this do you?"
i've been seeing an amazing man for a few months now.
i recently found out that before we met, my boyfriend had been thinking about getting back together with his ex-girlfriend.
(who is going through a divorce of her own right now) they have a two year old son together.. he says that if his child weren't involved, he wouldn't even consider going back to her.
