that is hardcore. I don't think any response is going to have an effect - sorry. I hope they are more reasonable one day. Reminds me why I'm not there anymore

Faith?
by Core88 ini think of you all allot for the helpful thoughts, and comments that you sent my way this past week.
i think one of my problems is that now that i don't have the routine of going to the meetings and feeling my head with the watchtower and awake, i seem to have little faith in anything now....i don't feel like i "know" god anymore.
every time i have gone to another church i just don't seem to fit in and feel "at home" like i used to at my old kingdom hall.

Hi Core - good to see you back. I agree with Scully's comments - and I guess in a sense nvrgnbk. Getting involved with life is a start. Learning something new, making new friendships etc will at least start giving you some enjoyment and purpose - whatever your conclusions end up taking you to.
Also, one thing I think is universal - religion or no religion - that gives us a sense of happiness and contentment is helping others. Why not set a goal to get involved in something here - help disabled people, tutor some kids, raise a guide dog or help a cancer charity. This is something a lot of witnesses don't get involved with because the "new system is around the corner"

Why I post here
by Wordly Andre inwhy do i post here, i havent been to a meeting regularly for almost 16 years, last time i attended memorial i was 14, my wife and i are roman catholic, all my close friends are not jws.
so why do i feel the need to post on here if all that is in my life is so far away from the kingdumb hall?
these are questions often asked to me by some of my friends and sometimes even my wife, they say well you left that behind years ago, that is true, however most of my family on my mothers side are still jws, i still deal with what i went through going up in the org, being able to share that with other people who also had similar experience is great.

Hey Stealth453 - Not that I need to make up for converting anyone (30 years didn't convert a soul) but I have signed up to give blood this weekend
I post here because after 4 years of being DF'd, I started getting really angry/frustrated that I wasted my life when I found out what was going on - and I am not an angry person. Seeing other people who haved spent more time and resources but are now doing well has calmed me down.
I am also still fascinated reading about things I used to "just believe" because I had to and the fact I never bothered questioning because I didn't want to disappoint...

This is for home use I presume? You can't really fax in and out of email directly. You either need software (i think symantec has a fax program for this purpose) or a printer that is fax capable and comes with it's own fax software. You would need a modem if you just use the software option and the printer will have it's own modem that you plug into your phone line.
Some fax software may have the option to deliver it to your inbox otherwise it would just open up a recieved fax on your desktop.

I'm sure there is only 1 Phil Hayworth and I knew him. He was from the cong next to ours and yes - top speaker. Last I heard he had a breakdown (mental). I could possible find out though. Really sweet guy.

Mom is fed up, about to leave Dad......
by R.F. inmy mom is fed up now and wants to leave my dad now.
the interesting thing is i was planning on moving out in a few months, but mom seems to be planning on leaving way before then.
so im going to just move with her to help her with bills for a little while.

I think it is a good thing if you moved in with your mum to help with the bills and her to get settled - even temporarily. When 2 people don't get along and the situation isn't ever going to change it is the best thing for everyone they don't stay in the same rut.
I freaked out when my mum left the first time and tried to get in the middle and fix things. All it got me was a hell of a lot of stress only for them to split up later anyway. Since they did and they both settled in there new lives (always is some bumpy bits) things are now awesome. There is a lot more happiness in our family...
Good luck
