There is nothing new under the sun at any of those conventions, it is always do more, give us your money, turn in your fing time, pray, give us you dough, time, energy and lives.

The end, that has always been a big draw for the dubs, keep the R&F in line and in fear. I got and get so tired of hearing it is just around the corner. Newlight, that comment has always made me laugh/cringe roll the eyes backwards. What a bunch of hooey. Also with the smoking ban I believe that happened around 1973(?) that was probably some excuse the pun "bright idea" of one of the higher ups there, They didn't want some one entering the "new system" while smoking, the dubs were all going to be headed to perfection you know circa 1975. You are probably right on, about the factions of blood as one of those ole dudes needed some it suddenly dawned on them "new light". Talk about taking the scriptures out of context. they are worse than other religions they say their work is free, but they are continually asking for donations in one form or another. Fee my aching a**. Whenever my wife here's these kind of talksk, she is ever ready to donate more., I have told her no! If you want to donate to them then get a job and donate your money to them. But you aren't going to donate the momey I make to them.

At the best of times the elders are sheer a**holes., They will ask death dealing questions i.e. do you believe that God (jehover) is using the fairthrul and discreet slave. When I was asked this question at a visit from 3 of those a** wipe types, I replied yes, it seems Jehovah uses whomever he wants don't you agree? In fact didn't he used the Catholic church to collate the vairous books out there and make the bible didn't he????
Why do you think Jehover uses the Chaldeans and others during the history of the Jews, It didn't mean they they were the ones he used because they were his special people did it? At that point all three of them had the deer in the headlights looks. And finally one replied that is interesting and then they completely changed the subject. You have to be prepared for them, think of something like in matthew chpt 24: what wis is that jesus was telling his aposteles to not be mislead about. In fact get out your bible and read verse Matther 24: 4-9; tell them you are confused about what events Jesus is telling you not to be misled about and see how their eyes glaze over. Then go to Eph. 11:4 and read a few verses and say if we were not to be evangelizers as only some were wouldn't it be productive to be involved in other things?
Of course you will get the stock Jdub answers so be prepared and then change the subject and ask about the upcoming sad or 2day ad. they will gladly answer the ????'s about the SAD and 2DSAD.

They the Society doesn't want anyone to have any understanding of the Bible outside their sphere of infuence and craziness. Their my way or the highway is not reminisent of the way Jesus did things. So the more groups like this that decide to break away the better. IMO of course.
i think i see the wtbts attempting to disintangle itself from the religion that funded it's origin.. not that i actually know anything but it seems apparent to me that the society would like nothing more that to be able to cut away the "church" and pursue it's business dealings unencumbered by a monetary drain and liability like the religion that has become an albatross around thier neck.. perhaps i'm mistaken and the society will use it's money to support it's members and quit taking so much witout giving back to the people who give .

the bible calls noah a preacher of righteousness.
however, it gives no indication that he undertook a global campaign to warn people of a coming flood of which they 'took no note'.. in gen chap 6 god gave noah very detailed instructions about building the ark.
in 6:18 and 7:1 he gave specific instructions about who to take into the ark.
Maybe Noah only preached to his wife and children, I seem to remember that it was taught that Noah had 120 years to build an ark, he took the instructions from God and did just so, so he wouldn't have made any plans to build it bigger. I wonder what kind of gps system he had to located all the varous islands and countries of the world and drop off animals in them so they would be specific types for their enrvironment????/ It's a myth, if not it had to do with a local flood, even in Josephus it talks of others who came dowq from the mountains.
In book 1 Antiquities of the Jews, Chpt 4 The first several sentences read:
"Now the sons of Noah were Three, __Shem, Japhet, and Ham, born one hundred years before the Deluge. These first of all descended from the mountains into the palins, and fixed their habitation there; and persuaded others who were greatly afraid of the lower grounds on account of the flood, and so were very loth to come down from the higher places to venture to follw thier examples."
Now that seems to lend credence to the fact that the flood in all actually was very local if not who were the others, you mean that Noah's family lived upon the mountain until they had many children and these when they grew up were afraid to come down. Like I said Mythical.
