  Everything feels broken

  hi all - beware, long post comming up!.

  i've always been a person who 'needed to know'.

  as a born in i felt incredibly lucky that my parents and grandparents had found 'the truth' - no need to struggle to 'break free from babylon's bondage' for me!

  Sapphy,

  Many on this board know what you are going through. One thing I know for sure is that life is too short and too precious to toss away on a religion that you no longer believe is the truth. It can be very difficult starting over but it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I recommend that you start rebuilding a life for yourself outside of the JWs. You will soon realize from a practical standpoint how many of the teachings are skewed or completely false. Plus it becomes easier to leave the religion.

  You never know, your friends and family may be more understanding than you think, or maybe not. But there is a whole world of people that are ready and willing to accept you just as you are with no strings attached.

  700 club interviews an ex-JW tomorrow

  Saw a promo for it...it was about a JW that came in as an adult and shortly after wanted to join the military. Looked interesting.

  Do you miss God?

  if you are one of the posters on here who has got to the point where you do not believe in god to any great extent, do you miss "him".

  i find that i rarely used to ask god for anything, or load him up with my problems, everybody elses were far more urgent, but i did used to feel moved to praise him when i saw the beauties of creation, a sunset etc.. i now feel an urge to still do that, but do not believe anyone is listening, do you get moments like that ?.

  No, I don't miss God. He was never really around enough for me to miss him. Honestly, I often forget he's suppose to exist.

  Does it matter that the person doing the voice of the down syndrome character has down syndrome in real life? Does it matter that she a bright lady who happens to work at a law firm? She thought the episode was hilarious which was why she agreed to do the role. BTW, she's not a Sarah Palin fan.

  Also, I don't watch a lot TV but Family Guy is stupid funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Back on topic...Omarion has been studying for YEARS. I saw him at the DC in Long Beach, CA this past summer. That whole little crew...Omarion, Marques Houston, etc were there. Their moms are witnesses. Marques was on the Monique show a couple of months ago and based on the interview, I don't think either of them are anywhere close to being baptized. I'll believe it when I see it.

  Omarion's fame is not what it used to be, so I'm sure he has ever JW from his childhood congregation in his hear. Let him get another hit....he'll be like "a J-what, who told you that"?

  i understand that only the twenty million jws will survive this imminent armageddon.

  since the worlds population is about seven billion, this means that each jw man, woman and youth will be left to locate and bury 350 corpses killed at armageddon.. .

  these survivors will spend the rest of the following one thousand years teaching the wtss kingdom to resurrected people who previously never had the opportunity.

  hey everyone!.

  i will be going into the hospital for surgery on tues...my first one ever!

  the surgeon has gone over the procedure and informed me that it's 'bloody' and so she gave me all my options.

  Family can really mess with your head sometimes and the JW thing doesn't help. Informing your parents about your surgery was the right thing to do. Hope you have a successfull, event-free surgery.

  "Youth book" said 97% of teenagers Masturbate...but none of them are Witnesses! Is this unrealistic?

  "youth" book and "young people ask" admitts that 97% boys and 92% of girls masturbate but of course none of the holy decent witness teenagers would ever do such a thing and earn jehovahs anger!

  how realistic is this?

  97% of the world have t.v's or a telephone!

  Do you feel pity when you see JWs working hard for Jehovah?

  does knowing that jws are not god-chosen organisation they claim to be break your heart when you see them do fs in extreme conditions, like during a hot summer day or in snow?.

  Frustrated with Holidays

  i know we have all talked about the fact that holidays today don't mean what they did in the ancient past.

  i don't like the word pagan, becuase of all the negative conatations associated with it.

  but with something as simple as valentine's day; that the history beyond the known facts that a christian known as valentine was martyed on feb 14th, why is there so much disdaine for it?
