PROOF that the GB lurk HERE ???

in which i said.... this is strange, i read that in 1995 they did away with the "generation" teaching, yet the official watchtower website still says this, over 12 years later !.

thus, all the features of the last days must take place within the lifetime of one generation, the generation of 1914. so some people who were alive in 1914 will still be alive when this system comes to its end.

I have never doubted since joining that the GB lurk here. They of course will want to see what fight they must fight next in their publications.. ect. At this point in my life, I really dont care though, I trust that the majority of forum members are who they are, and will remain somewhat cautious, but not so much so that the forum won't continue to be a great place for me to come and share my thoughts within.

Due to my paranoia though, I still do not feel safe sharing personal details such as name, and congregation last attended. Someone did PM me and ask me what congregation I belonged too, and although it was likely out of interest, it isnt something I felt safe sharing as of yet. One day though.. I may just use these clipped wings.. and really Fly.. by valiantly coming out and taking them all on.

Prayer a Waste of Time?

how often do you hear about prayer at the meeting that, if you should pray that if jehovah wills that he should do something?

to me, this is a total waste of time to pray if that condition applies.

you see, if jehovah willed something, why would he need to wait for you to ask him for it?

I prayed honestly, and whole heartedly as a child, up until age 20. I used to pray as a child, holding my bible, for God to help me, and make bad things go away. Such a fool I was to believe that my prayers would be answered, but I did believe then it was the thing to do.

I now do not pray, but I do believe in a more new age thought that there is power of the mind, so I send out love and white light to the universe.

Are Your Morals The Same As When You Were A Witness?

i guess that i can say, from a biblical viewpoint, anyone that practices "fornication", having sex without being married, would be "immoral".

other than, i don't lie or cheat or steal or even kill anyone else!

do you view yourself a "moral" or "immoral" person and why?

I consider myself a moral person, I am honest, law abiding, caring, and live a moral life. Although I am open regarding sexuality, I also consider myself moral in that regard as I have high standards for myself and those that may become my partner. So, in general, I suppose my morals are much the same, not due to bible standards, but due to human moral standards that society lives with or without a religious background.

Do you get joy out of doing your own yard work?

the heat index here in orlando is currently 105 degrees, but being the bull dog type i am, insist on mowing in this heat.

it will take me another 2 days to trim out, and get any stray stuff done like brown palm fronds etc.

this is my 3rd break on the first day, my face is bright red and am sweating like someone in a gym.. i find great joy in a beautiful lawn, nicely trimmed out, beautiful trees and flowers etc.. on the other hand i am mowing in my light short cotton nightgown which looks like a pretty t-shirt but is lighter weight with a pair of jeans.....my husband is cracking up!

I totally enjoy doing my own yard work! The scent of fresh cut grass is lovely, the pleasure of gardening puts me in a peaceful tranquil state. Its lovely!

Do you Consider yourself "Christian" and what does this imply?

i consider myself "christian", but don't know exactly what one must do to please christ and yhwh...

I dont consider myself a Christian, to be a Christian one would need to believe in the bible. I am still pondering over whether the whole basis of Christianity is just a story, or a compilation of myths. I am spiritual in a new age, pagan sort of way, but do not follow one particular belief system.

Did you have to dress up for meeting?

i remember having to dress up for every meeting even the ones during the week.

i had to wear a botton down shirt dress pants, a tie, dress shoes, dress socks and a blazer.

this was also required by my parents to dress up when going door to door.

Dressing up for the meetings was mandatory, but it's not something that bothered me.. I still enjoy the dressed up look.
