i think most of us will agree that after having gone through divorce - that many of us were gun shy before getting into another relationship.
and that is fine for some people who feel they just can't go " there" anymore.
that being said, there are some of us over the years who after divorcing, went through several relationships or marriages before finally getting it right some day.

Thank you Flipper! I have heard of E Harmony before but have never checked it out. From what I have seen here, you and your lady are a great match, if E Harmony is the venue that helped you find your match, I think it is a worthwhile option to check out.
There are so many important factors that are so important in finding the one that matches one well. Many very sweet people out there, but not always the ones that truely match you, and can be a lifetime partner.

I would certainly not ever settle! Been there done that!
It takes truely getting to know the other inside and out.. before I can ever make a heartfelt decision.
It is all the little things.. the important life issues and values that need to be seen through time and learning about another that truely lets one know if that one is the right one.
I believe it takes time, talking, and much sharing that lets one know whether that someone you are interested in is the right one for you.
Never settle! Wait until the right one comes along!

mothers day can bring up many issues for some of us.

on mother's day we often forget those who are mother's but never had the chance to hold their child.
some because they chose to give their child up for adoption.
others because of miscarriage or stillbirth.

in the email i said, wouldn't it be great to send an anonymous letter to our father with this article in it, and let him panic.
well, i recently found out that she did mail it.. and since then has gathered together many different types of articles regarding child sexual abuse and has been sending them to him, with no return address on them.
Thank you for all your support and comments, when I first mentioned sending letters, I had actually meant to send them to others you may know, but what a great idea to have letters sent to the person I am speaking of, from others. I will speak to my sister about it, and I may take up all your offers to do so.

DKJ: Briefly the history is this. This man was a sexual abuser. He was reported to the elders, gross details were provided, but he still got away with it. He cried, said he was sorry, and was not punished at all. He is still a witness in good standing. My sisters therapist has said the next step is to write in person to him. I did this years ago, and recieved letters back that I was demonized, on drugs, and a liar from all members of the family but him. Now is finally the time to write another letter even for myself, as my sister is doing.

When she told me, we both had a moment of lightness, laughing our butts off at the poetic justice of him receiving these letters, knowing that he will certainly be freaking out about it. He got away with his evilness with the JW's, and has lived free for many years. What fun to cause a little chaos in his life now! Her therapist said "Good For You" after she told him she had done this. Now its my turn to start my little mailing campaign.
Just had to share that.. perhaps there are some of you out there who would gain a little personal empowerment by doing so as well.

obviously some of you were , but some topics i notice get huge amouts of folk reading them but not replying , i think that had i had internet access years ago and read some of these threads i wouldnt have lasted another week at kingdom hall , and yet i still imagine going to sit in the hall during a meeting so i could see what its like listening to a talk without a programmed mind and knowing that its a sign of a cult if your friends and family warn you its a cult but the cult tells you its just satan trying to get you out "the truth"!
Yes for sure! I have just recently found out that my sister has been in and out of anti JW sites now for the past two years. I had never brought up my involvement due to worry that because she hadn't officially said she didn't believe in the religion that she would stop talking to me due to my apostate site involvement.
One evening not to long ago, we had a sister bonding night and got talking about various things, I bravely brought up the UN thing about the religion, and that started a whole new conversation, as she said.. omg.. yes I already knew that. Then she went on to tell me all that she had read, and learned. Although we had always been close before, this evening of conversation brought us even closer.
My sister has been more or less inactive for quite a few years now, and it was from her reading these factual topics that helped her move on. So yes, even though many may not respond to posts, they are reading and evaluating the topics they are reading.
